i just have serious issues with lazy people that talk crap about this phone and any other product on the market that is fine or even close to perfect.
just because 1 person is reporting 1 issue doesnt mean that the product is bad it most likely means that he/she screwed it up.
as for every 1 person you see complain on the net theres thousants you do not here because they are at home enjoying there products.
so anything peoplehave issue with is either normal or caused by the people themselves or they are one of the actual unlucky ones that got a faulty product.
its just that simple.
otherwise EVERYONE would be here to complain and believe me you would notice.

dont blame me for being one of a handfull of helpfull people on this site.
blame the rest for being lazy whiners that cant be bothered to research and find out that they mre most likely there own fault.
i have this phone myself and i have none of the issue other people have here so theres is a one off or they screwed it up themselves its that simply.
some apps drain battery a lot some slow the phone down some even make it crash dont blame lg for that.
the phone is fine if you dont want to take my word go play with it in the store and see for yourself.
phones in stores are the most heavily abused devices out there and the ones ive touched before i bought mine where flawless even on v10a firmware which sadly is still stock on newly bought phones.

First, I wanted to buy this phone but later on I found out that ,most of the pages,only one person (it's you) tries to claim this phone as the best while many other people complaint so much about it, starting from battery, sound, camera & video quality.... your only claim here does explain something to me about this phone (not a good one). you save my money.

so buy a phone with HD screen but dont buy anythign with more as its a waste of you money and you will get frustrated with the device as the battery drains like a madman.
the current smartphones including the lg already drain 1% per 2 min when used activly.

pino, 01 Feb 2013i wouldnt take a full hd phone first because they are usele... moreBattery i agree woyh but ohh boy do u see a differance, my gf has the xperia pro ...and on here phone i can see pixalation when looking at pictures and on 720p videos as well. My old htc xplorer was pixelated aswell. But hey if ur not in to movies, u can go with no hd screen, saves shit tons of battery

noone can see the difference in quality.
and secondly they use way more battery when active as all those pixels have to be calculated by the cpu and gpu which drains battery faster.

AnonD-90736, 01 Feb 2013Here's my second review of this phone having now used it fo... moreto try and adress some of your negatives maby go to app menu and cleat data and cache of your movie player maby the cache file is corrupted or your settings are all messed up.
also try to calibrate the motion sensor in the settings menu maby it is not calibrated correctly and cant decide whats up and down i had that with my cmopass.
if your talking speaker volume thats you if you talk headphone vollume google foe the hidden manu that lets you up the volume.
12 gb with photos and movies can be filled soon indeed but dont forget the phone is a lot cheaper even after buying a 64 gb card you still would have spend less then with the one x.
pictures are fine after v10f cant speak of video as i havent recorded anything yet and dont really care about video.
i find the pictures better then the s3 and the one x and the only flaw is that they are a little dark but you can fix that bu setting exposure to +1.5
i think the front facing camera is good enough in really good light but its really dark when the light isnt optimal which is a shame.

the LG has more realistic colours and the one x has more saturated colours decide what you like more.
the LG has the option for a SD cars the one x does not but comes with 32 gb instead of 16.
the one x has a fixed battery the LG lets you take a spare or replace it.
do NOT listen to anyone saying the video is bad the camera is bad or whatever as its just plain bollox.
if you dont like the player you can download another if you dont like the camera software you can download others but hardware wise they are equal.
the LG rom is lighter and leaves more ram which is good if you plan on using a lot of resource heavy apps or plan on heavy modification by installing themes and so on.
the LG clearly is a lot cheaper then the one x which can be a factor in your choice.
and then theres the design.
decide what design you like more.

Dude the battery is just fine if u use it as a phone not a gaming station it lasts for me for about 2 days. Music quality is bad but not that bad, using a strexh phillips headphones bass is great, volume is tooo loud. I havent notesed any lag or problem with video play back and i as well use mx player...its the best phone for its money, and will be the best phone till sony z comes out officialy when lg gest open/unlocked bootloader. I give this phone a 7,5/10

Here's my second review of this phone having now used it for 2 months, my previous review was after 1 month's use. My rating for this phone has now fallen from 7/10 to 6/10. I am going to list all pos. and neg. points, that way it will be easier for people to understand,
Positivies
1)Display size, (although I cannot wait for 5.5 and 6" smartphones to come out)
2) IPS display, so life like and natural;
3) web browser, a joy to use;
4) tegra 3 chip - great for gaming and very quick especially for web browsing;
5) removeable battery;
6) micro sd card slot;
Negatives
1) Video playback is so bad, seems to be getting worse and now even shows picture upside down;
2) Volume still not high enough even though boosted by mx player;
3) Audio quality is poor, voice is unclear when speaking to someone;
4) 12gb of internal memory not enough, having to look for a micro sd card to expand memory;
5) pictures and video recording not of a high quality;
6) need a much higher megapixel front facing camera, 1.3mp is just not enough, should be at least 5mp;
7) takes so long to boot up, nearly a minute;
8) need to charge battery at least twice a day;
There you have it, I hope this helps people to decide whether they want to buy this or not.

i just disabled apps in the app list and that seems to do the trick.
i havent even gone loco but your right about mapps i didnt even touch it and it was on 2/3% per hour with gps off !
this should only be enabled if you use it.
heres a list of the apps i disabled:
application manager
e-mail widged (would like email 2 as it hogs ram and i dont use it but that needs root)
fav contacts widged
financial app
google search (top search on homescreen)
google+ (this one is annoying as hell)
maps
news! (didnt support my region....)
remote call service
social+street view
theres a lot more like today+widged, software update,smartworld,pc suite end pc suite service and a bunch more i would like to disable but sadly thise dont allow that without root or are uninstall only which is something i need to investigate further incase i need them one day ii need acces to them.
