I bought this last night. It is heating up like a hot oven. I spoke over a call for less than 5min and the phone had become hot and my ears too.
Just after i use this phone for some time to text its heating up.
Should i replace this piece or get some other phone?

Any informations about official update for this phone? It`s still on 4.1.2. and the 4.4. will be released in few days.

Thanks dear, but after rooting i'll also have to flash .kdz file b/c people did mention that Phone willn't start fully ! Can I do this ?
Root , then flash kdz if required , delete Korean apps , dialer and sms limit then again UNROOT ?

You just need to root it, which is just a one-click method. You can then remove the sms character limit and you'll still get OTA update if any comes up. Plus the camera lens gets scratched a bit since it pokes out but nothing other then that. No signal problems or anything of that sort and web browsing is literally blazing fast

3days after i purchased this unit.... i asked for replacement coz of defective camera.....after a few months again....defective touch pad....i went to lg service center....technician advised for replacement of new lcd.....i really...really disapointed....better to used china phone...its better quality than this unit....

If you... morethanks brother , please do tell that the version i'm buying it is in use at good rates in here PAKISTAN at around 210$ but has 80 characters limit so i don't wanna custom rom thingy which removes chances of OTA (in case, also instability ) is there any update for F180L\S\K versions officially?, in which Korean digits in dialer and sms chars limit has been removed? please do tell.!
* any design flaw? like dust in front camera?
* any signal problem? if handled from specific sides/dimensions?(GSM or wi-fi)
* full working Browsing? (means each n ever site including heavy customized flash features?)

I bought this phone last month and so far its great! If you're worried about battery life, the phone has a power saving mode plus an 'eco mode' which prolongs battery power. If that is not enough for you, you could simply download an app like Battery Doctor or Juice Defender to further improve battery life. As with every phone, heavy use such as playing a game like 'Real Racing' or 'Asphalt 7 or 8' will generate heat and thus reduce battery life. The camera is great for the average user, the responsiveness on the phone is great, even with power saver on. The display is crisp, even in direct sunlight. My phone restarted a few times on a few occasions after I downloaded an update from the LG software program. However, I did a factory reset and it works perfectly now. As for people who report the back glass breaking, its simply about being careful with your phone. Depending on your lifestyle, this phone may not be for you as it should be handled with care tbh. All in all, its a great phone. Personally I have no regrets buying it. This is my 2 cents.

i bought optimus g last may...and i encountered lot of problems....
1.re-start several times...
2.camera is bad....
3.video recording for several minutes it turn blurred...
4.when drop the glass easily broke...front/back...
5.using 4 cores ...battery drain fast at 100% for about less than 2 hrs.of internet browsing...

No mobile is perfect dear. But at its price range, Optimus G easily beats any other phone. If you ve extra bucks, you may choose Gpro, S4, G2, Z1....

HI guys, please tell me about any faced issues? (battery timing, camera, any un wanted , weird issue?),i am about to but this AWESOME spec Phone.
plus how to remove 80 characters sms limit(w/o root & w/o apps)
did LG roll out any update to solve that issue?
(korean dialer, sms limit and pop ups ) are my basic concerns and any any unwanted issues. please do tell me.!

Hi, anyone experienced occasional restarts with this phone? Mine restarts sometimes and the date and time zone changes when it does. A few days ago it did it twice in one day. Has anyone experienced this?
