AnonD-93854, 14 Jan 2013And I would say optimus g copied galaxy s II ;) Not really, all the phone manufacturers copied LG from the beginning, because they started these smartphone madness by launching the first full touchscreen phone, back in 2006. So stop complaining about LG, because you haters don't know anything about it. All these brands, Samsung, Sony, HTC, Apple, benefit from LG's experience. When LG was making touchscreen phones, Samsung was making blackberry-like phones with loads of buttons, small screen, and they said that was a smartphone. HA! Now LG has fallen a little behind its competitors and they don't deserve this treatment.

I got an LG E971 (Canada). The phone performance is amazingly fast. The 2GB Ram is definitely more than enough to handle everything once the phone is alive.
On my first 4 days of use, everything was great. Unluckily, a headset icon appeared on the upper right most corner of the screen making my phone to go mute. That happens without having the headset plugged to phone. I tried to ask a help from Rogers Canada. Unluckily I was no longer entitled for the DOA. Reason? I used-up my 30 minutes allocation for 15 days. Too bad. Had it send for repair. The repair center didn't fixed the problem. I tried to contact LG Electronics Canada, and a promise was given to me that they would do an exchange. Hopefully they will.
Bottom line, those aiming for this great phone, check the phone that you have. You might be one of the future victim.

optimus G also has memory slot to expand ur memory up to 64Gb.
Better choose Optimus G AT&T than Xxperia Z or ZL.
LG has more goodlooking premium phones than Sony.
                      Sony is a copycat....

dear frndz i have a Q kindly if somebody could gimme an answer....

shall i go for HTC one x+ or the lg optimus G as i am a lil bit confused regarding the speed as the optimus G has a 2 GB of Ram while the one x + has only 1GB of Ram ?

i know that the there is no SD card slot which makes the lg limited up to 16 gb of storage only while the one x+ has 64 gb.

one more thing does the optimus G take brust pics and does it has a fast speed camera shutter as the one x?

                            thanks to al in advance...:)

this is an amazing phone,i haven't owned a phone in a few years now (5 or so years) and i picked this up a few days ago and i am blown away.Just to name a few pros and cons.
                                    cons:
                                    1.no external sd card slot
2.battery usage seems to get low quick
3.cant take out the back to put in a new battery
4.it didn't come with the jelly bean update
5.after awhile of using this,it can get alittle warm but not hot like some of these users put it(i actually do not mind it)
6.when assigning a picture as a wallpaper, the cropping thing got on my nerves..it wouldn't allow me to use the whole photo as my wallpaper.
7.i don't know if this is lg's fault or google but the google command/google voice doesn't properly function, when prompting to call a contact through google voice, somehow it brings up a irrelevant business and when i try to to send a text through the voice command, it doesn't assign the name i say as (to:___) instead it includes the name with the message.

                                    pros:
                                    1.it looks sexy
2.just about every feature is extremely fast(loading apps, loading google chrome, ect)
3.the display looks terrific and streaming movies on mx player and netflix are smooth and crisp
4.customization is pretty cool (assigning widgets) also i was thrilled when i found out that i could assign the default icons with pictures within my gallery, that is completely brilliant on lg's part
4.the gps in this is very impressive, especially when opening it up through the google voice..i was intrigued when it showed the approximate time it took to get to the desired destination.
5.the "time catch shot" feature is pretty neat,i guess it is perfect to use when capturing a more natural moment but i do not think it is an essential feature but it is still pretty cool and could be useful.
6.almost every emulator i downloaded works perfectly
7.this thing can multi task like no other,i think this is one of the strongest features about this phone..the fact that you can call, text and play something all at the same time.it is truly remarkable.

other than that, if you are planning on getting the new nexus or this than it really doesn't matter, either way you will be getting a great phone.

Is this Optimus G yet available in Europe?
                                      How about Nexus 4?

I think these Android smartphone makers are following dumping in europe knowling Android is doing well there!

My optimus G has JB out of the box.
Its an awesome device and it does not overheat and the battery life is very good.
If you are facing overheating take it to the nearest service center.
