Anonymous, 05 Dec 2019Anyone know how to fix the phone stuck in "Firmware update"... moreIf you manually updated using the ROM of other V20 variants not meant for your V20 phone variant, your V20 is bricked. You'll need to restore it from backup using LG bridge if you backed it up first before upgrading. If you don't have a backup or if LG bridge doesn't work, you'll need to bring your V20 to a service center for repair.

Anyone know how to fix the phone stuck in "Firmware update" mode? It says waiting for connection with error code 910K B50. I just try to restart the phone after inserting a fresh battery and it boots up like this. Tried restarting, up + power key, down + power key and nothing responds.

I think that more than programmed obsolescence, the determining factor is the limited software support over time. With my experience of more than two and half years with two V20, the latter is confirmed.
The reduced time of updates is the incentive for the public to be at 'the last' with the latest model.

Rimac , 20 Nov 2019With the physiological hear sense in good condition, someon... moreThere's a HUGE audio quality difference between a
V20 >MP3 >bluetooth > single bluetooth loudspeaker setup VS. a
V20 >FLAC >wired connection >stereo loudspeaker setup (non-bluetooth), all things equal (same equalizer settings on the V20 music player in both instances).
The main limitation of a bluetooth connection is that it has limited data transfer bandwidth, hence, sound quality suffers. Sound quality fluctuates depending on bluetooth strength, distance from source, and playback and compression settings /CODEC used. Sony's LDAC is supposedly better but it can provide up to CD quality only and you need to set it to 'high audio quality' and avoid 'adaptive bit rates'. Also, devices along the audio chain from the phone to the bluetooth speakers have to be compatible with, or support the format. Adaptive bit rate is the default setting in bluetooth connections - it's like watching a YouTube video that deteriorates in audio and video quality when your internet is slow and improves in audio and video quality when internet connection is blazing fast.
Aside from that, the inherent problem in Bluetooth setups is poor stereo separation and lag problems. If you listen to your V20 music files using a single Bluetooth speaker, the stereo soundstage is poor compared to a similar wired setup where in the left and right audio channels are in two separate wired speakers, sufficiently separated apart for excellent stereo sound reproduction.
Then there is the issue with highly compressed/low quality/low bit rate mp3's losing a lot of audio detail compared to lossless FLAC format. For lossy mp3 format to approach the quality of FLAC, it has to be encoded at the highest bitrate/highest quality level: 320kbps. 128kbps and below sources should be avoided if you want to hear an improved difference between wired vs. wireless connection.
Those being said, a properly 'equalized' bluetooth system, that is, an equalizer app properly applied during music playback of TWO bluetooth speakers, not arranged in a 'single setup' or dual non-stereo pair 'party mode' setup, but rather arranged to work as separate/discrete left channel - right channel stereo speaker system, and using a high quality music source (FLAC or 320kbps mp3), will sound better than an equivalent non-equalized, non optimized WIRED stereo system (no equalizer app used during music playback), that is using low quality mp3. However, once you apply the same treatment to the wired stereo speaker system setup, (that is, same high quality music source, the same 2-speaker stereo system using exactly the same speakers, the same equalizer settings, etc., EXCEPT for the first setup being connected wirelessly and the second in wired connection, the audio quality improvement of the wired connection over the wireless bluetooth connection should be clearly audible.

Nick2571, 20 Nov 2019I like everything about this phone. Really fast and the fin... moreYou should replace your phone's defective battery with a brand new, OEM one. You likely have a defective or fake battery. There are lots of fake V20 batteries around that look like the real OEM/original LG V20 battery but last less than half as long as the GENUINE OEM LG V20 battery.
Also check for your battery usage stats. You may have rogue apps or haywire apps draining up a huge percentage of your battery capacity. These need to be unistalled. If you did both above yet none of those work, factory reset your phone. If still the same, you may have a defective unit. Return it or have it replaced.

I like everything about this phone. Really fast and the fingerprint unlock. However even though the battery is removable, it's terrible. It drains in about 2 hours to 50% and then shuts down and won't turn on unless connected to power.
