Also I could not find the v60 on any of the lists for Samsung or Sony camera sensor phone lists & the Sony listings were made November 2019 which it should have been known at that time if it was going to have the Sony sensor due to manufacturing would have been in full swing by then. This also points to the possible use of the OV64C sensor as it has the same specs as the IMX686 except for the OV64C having DP-PDAF & the IMX686 doesn't. I could not find any list of phones that use the OV64C.

There is so many sites with conflicting specification information that it makes it difficult to find the truth without someone actually tearing down the camera sensor itself.

A little more research & it appears that the IMX686 does not have dual pixel autofocus & none of the other phones that I checked out with this Sony sensor have DP-PDAF listed on specs, but the V60 does apparently. The Omnivision OV64C does have DP-PDAF, however LG's own specs for the v60 does not list DP-PDAF, only PDAF. If LG V60 does have DP-PDAF then it probably had the Omnivision OV64C as that sensor does indeed have DP-PDAF. Looking for specs on this camera is very

i'm from Malaysia....where i can purchased this phone LG V60 ThinQ 5G Global Version Dual Screen....pls help

Krish, 30 Apr 202064MP rear camera sensor is Sony made 686 not from SamsungIt appears you may be correct. I could not find any information online about which sensor it uses anywhere I looked & I looked for many hours. The horizontal pixels add up to just what the Sony sensor offers but picture info shows vertical resolution is 8 pixel lines short on V60.

The picture information available from photos shows 6936 x 9248 pixels. Sensor specs found online from Sony says 9248X6944. Specs for Samsung sensor is 9280x6944. This suggests that it is in fact the Sony sensor as you said.

Information as far as sensor size varies online for both sensors some places saying that the Sony sensor is 1/1.72 as well as the Samsung & some claiming Samsung sensor it 1/1.7, same as the Sony sensor. You can see where confusion can creep in.

Anyway sorry if I seemed to be making too much out of it being a Samsung sensor, however the operating premise for both sensors is nearly identical with some possible minor differences making the Sony sensor slightly better overall.

How can this phone with 5000 mAh have lower endurance rating than LG G8X (with 4000mah)? Also where's stereo speaker test of this device(which is by yt reviews better than galaxy s20 ultra speakers)?

                        a) ESS ES9218P SABRE (2nd Gen, QuadDAC)

                        Specs:
                        1) Supports playback of upto 32-bit 384kHz PCM and DSD256 audio files.
                        2) SNR: 130 dB
                        3) THD+N: -114 dB
                        4) Headphone jack drive capability: Integrated headphone amplifier can out put 1 Vrms at line level and even 2 Vrms in high gain.

                        Used in:
                        1) B&O tuned: LG G5 (with B&O module), LG V20, LG G6/G6+, LG V30/V30+
                        2) Meridian tuned: LG G7/G7+, V40
                        3) Others: G8, G8X, V50, V50S

Note: Some users complain that the tuned versions only had native DSD playback support. However MQA is supported by all of them. Correct me if I am wrong.

                        b) ESS ES9219 (3rd Gen, QuadDAC)

                        Specs:
                        1) Supports playback of upto 32-bit 384kHz PCM and DSD512 audio files.
                        2) SNR: 130 dB
                        3) THD+N: -114 dB
                        4) Headphone jack drive capability: Integrated headphone amplifier can output both 1 & 2 Vrms just like its previous generation.
                        5) New improvements where made to reduce BOM size and cost of SoC

                        Used in:
                        1) V60

Note: Some users complain no native DSD playback support in V60. Even MQA support is dropped. Correct me if I am wrong.

In the end I believe the their are negligible performance improvements, but ESS was able to reduce cost of the chip while keeping identical performance levels. However I do not own a V60, so cannot confirm.

Aside from the expected newer chipset, larger battery & RAM, this model is a regression from the V50 in terms of number of cameras (3 vs 5), display resolution (1080 vs 1440), fingerprint sensor location (front vs back), QuadDAC quality & tuning (not tuned by Meridian or B&O anymore), etc. What an uninspired release, coming from a longtime LG phone owner.
