RishiGuru, 23 Nov 2023Did you receive Android 13 on your LG V60? If so, is there ... moreI don't have a V60, but I own a Wing and got it updated to Android 13. One of the notable improvements with the new OS update is the Gallery app loading time. It used to lag quite a lot on Android 12, but now it's so snappy with Android 13.

Speaking of V60, I believe it now gets Wireless Desktop Mode with touch mousepad support with Android 13*.

RishiGuru, 23 Nov 2023Did you receive Android 13 on your LG V60? If so, is there ... moreI've got android 13. Pros:
-Better game performance (the GPU was underclocked and underutilized in A12 and below)
-Stock android media player. Goodbye and good riddance, old one that showed little more than a sliver of the album art in a tiny little window and had way too much wasted space.
-More stable fast charging - doesn't seem to randomly go down to 500ma as much. May just be my perception.
-Material You, while still not configurable, is atleast less lame pastel colours
        Cons:
-More than 12-24 hours after the last restart, external storage (including microSD card) performance slows to a crawl. To the point where I restart the phone before doing a file transfer. Not ideal. I would say not acceptable, but I'm sure they'll fix it, and realistically it's not going to be long before it's just not realistic to be doing such power user tasks on this old of hardware.
-Sometimes randomly restarts in screen+ mode. Not sure if this was a thing in A12 as I didn't have the peripherals to use it until after I upgraded. However a month after I started using it the issue seems to be completely gone. Haven't had it randomly restart even once since about 2-3 weeks ago. Maybe just teething pains from being used in a completely different way - idk modern OSs are way too complex for me to even begin to theorize why this might be happening.

That's about it! For what it is it's an incredible opportunity for someone of my financial position (I'm 17), a colour accurate if small display attached to a somewhat quirky but usable desktop computer that can also be used for phone things.

The stereo speakers are simply awesome on LG V60. This is one the best of the best implementation I have ever heard till now. it must be having dedicated speaker amplifiers per channel to reach 1 Watts (Top) + 1.3 Watts (Bottom). But it not just the power, but how the audio sounds on the speakers and the tonal accuracy. It has one the best stereo separation on a phone. period. The last one to reach this level was my Meizu 16.

LG just went with a bang with their V60.

YUKI93, 09 Jun 2023Mine's already updated to Android 12.Did you receive Android 13 on your LG V60? If so, is there any improvement in user experience or just a bump in Android version?

RishiGuru, 22 Nov 2023I own the same phone as yours, Japanese NTT Docomo LG V60. ... moreI think mine is UK unit... Currently using airtel operatior.. Battery easily lasts for 2 days, camera quality is better than most phones in the market. I got mine brand new for just ₹12000.

Bought it recently for ₹17,000 ($204/€187) in superb condition from a seller. Completely new phone, not a single scratch. Not a single speck of dust on the ports. Seems like NTT Docomo selling their surplus stocks before phase out. Awesome 2 day battery life and performance.

In India, Vodafone network works like charm with my NTT Docomo LG V60. Limited to 4G with carrier aggregation support. No VoLTE though. Able to view the 4G+ on the display. Calls are loud and crystal clear.

My phone is running on Android 12 with Jun, 2023 security patch. Software version L51A30j which is the latest one. I don't think we will receive any further software updates from NTT Docomo.

LG v60 softbank user, 04 Apr 2023When LG v60 softbank version gets android 13 or android 12?Japanese Softbank LG V60 will forever be stuck on Android 11. Softbank had stopped support.

rishisab, 04 Jan 2023whats the fun in that? Is JIO 5g supported on it?I have the Japanese NTT Docomo LG V60.

In India, the phone does NOT support Jio telecom operator's 5G connectivity. However it supports 4G with carrier aggregation for Jio. It shows 4G+ over Jio network and network speeds are good. Sadly calls do not happen on Jio even of 4G.

                        A) LG V60 -> Absolute pinnacle from LG in terms of performance, overall package, display, built quality & battery life. And the GOD AWESOME QuadDAC providing the best analogue audio quality over wired headphones. The last of the dying breed with 5G capabilities. Mine is Japanese NTT Docomo LG V60, limited to Android 12 only.

                        B) LG Velvet -> LG's pinnacle in terms of exterior design, aesthetics in a smartphone. In-hand feel is next level, V60 falls behind by quite a margin on this regard. The Velvet truly feels like velvet in my hands, so comfortable to hold even though it packs the same sized display of V60. I own the Verizon LG Velvet, hence running on Android 13.

From audio quality perspective this is how I rank my LG's:

LG V30+ : Android 9, B&O tuned QuadDAC, native DSD playback support, HEAVEN ON EARTH audio quality, transparency is the keyword here. Playing DSD64 audio files natively on V30+ will open up new dimensions previously unheard.

LG G8X : Android 10, Meridian Audio tuned QuadDAC, No support for native DSD playback, MIGHTY MUSICAL audio quality. Lush & musical are the keywords here.

LG V60 : Android 12, LG tuned QuadDAC, different and lower specced QuadDAC than previous one. No support for native DSD playback, still GOD AWESOME audio quality. So close to G8X, and audio signature is something between V30 & G8X. A country mile ahead to its competitors on this regard.

Awais, 25 May 2023am using softbank version and not receiving andriod 12 or 1... moreJapanese telecom opeartor Softbank had long stopped providing major software updates to LG V60 after Android 11. They just provided one major update Android 10 to 11.

On the contrary the biggest Japanese telecom operator NTT Docomo have provided more support for their LG V60. Hence it had received Android 12 with Jun, 2023 security patch. There are no Android 13 in the pipeline.

And yes we need to connect via VPN to Japan to update the software from outside the country.

I have had both s20 plus and v60 still have the v60. That quad dac is amazing and the cameras are great to. The v60 is just a better overall device. I still use it a lot especially with premium headphones from sennheiser, Sony and hifiman and the v60 is able to drive them really good. Even though my daily driver is an S23 ultra I still carry around my v60 since I do have 3 Sim cards
