Tamim, 06 Dec 2021Plz add battery life review(I have the Velvet 5G version): I switched from a V30 which battery life was really good (2 days for me). And I have to say, I'm not dissapointed in the Velvet's battery life. 2 days (for my use pattern) easy.

First Velvet I got a month ago was doing weird things with it's sound system. At some point my Bluetooth headphone were "disconnected" but still connected... let me explain the sound started coming out only from the bottom speaker, but my headphone were still connected to it. I thought maybe my headphone were the problem, but it did the same thing with my speakers, my gf headphone and even in my car. But the problem was also happening without the Bluetooth, if I was watching videos or music, the sound would pause and by pressing play to resume, the sound would start coming out only from the bottom speaker...

Anyways, I returned the phone to the retailer to get a new one. After explaining my issue, the guy was having hard time believing me, but they have a 30 days satisfaction policy. Since I thought the Velvet they gave me was a lemon, I took the same model to replace it, but after 2 weeks of use I got the exact same issue, but this I made a video of the problem so that the retailer employee can see/hear the problem.

Little late to the party... but I was just issued a T-Mobile version of the phone from work.

It's tough to talk about it next to the international, AT&T or Verizon versions... since it's actually a different phone. Different SoC, battery, cameras and even camera position on the back. But it works and works well.

But the build quality is there. Even next to my personal V60 performance isn't bad. Battery life is pretty much what I expect. I can't tell with the camera, since I'm one of the worst photographers possible. Not really worried about the 2nd screen since I hardly use the one I that came with my V60. Only complaint is T-Mobile's fault. I won't be getting Android 11 because of the change in SoC vs all the other Velvet models.

Did someone notice that the camera performance degraded since the last update or it's just me?

If you're buying a phone without an actual back button, that should be your first clue. This is by far the worst phone I've ever used. The only thing that it has going for it is the display and processor speed, which doesn't matter since I don't play games on my phone. There wasn't even a proper alarm system for almost a year, in order to turn off alarms I'd have to physically sign into my phone and force stop the clock app. There's almost a 2 frame lag whenever I try to screen record, therefore the audio never matches up with the video. Apps constantly have trouble refreshing, even though I've updated it to the latest software. Often times apps will just quit on me for no reason. Don't buy this phone. It's not worth it and I've regretted having it since "upgrading" from my last phone.

                      I like it.

The best smartphone ever build by LG mobile and I ever had! ~ 🇰🇷LM-G900N version, though the screen resolutions wasn't really sharp enough and despite what other people have to say to slander the overall of LG VELVET build quality!...but it certainly does support USB on the go, a pair of stereo speakers, optical fingerprints, and wireless charging too.
Thanks 🇰🇷LG mobile for making this possible!!

My lg velvet constantly freezes and often restarting doesnt clear the issue....often i cant play music it freezes picture albums freeze...most apps at one tome or another freeze up. Ive sent the phone back twice 1st time im guessing the did factory reset which i already did with no luck...2nd time sent it back saying there was nothing wrong. Lg then had me place it in safe mode and it works fine....any suggestions?

Shannon, 31 Jul 2021Does anyone have issues with the phone making calls while y... moreYes, exactly, this is an issue. I think this is a hardware /design problem, not a software one. If you look, the sensors are to the right side, almost in the corner of the screen on the top. So one way is, if you perfectly center the phone on your ear during calls (camera to the middle of your ear), it wont happen. But if you use it naturally (not centered, the camera is a little bit up & forward from the ear), you will run into this issue. The screen lights up and you randomly touch things with your ear.
So, centered position during calls... It's really akward with glasses unfortunately.

I just realized something: How come this phone, with the same 6.8" screen and Snapdragon 765G chipset as the LG Wing 5G but with a bigger 4,300mAh battery, scored less battery endurance rating than the Wing 5G? Could it be that LG has properly optimized the chipset for the Wing 5G but could not make it for this phone? That is a possibility right there.
