The previous phone canvas 2 was comparable to galaxy s3 but this one absolutely s3 will die...Now my fav Micromax really nothing like not anything but this one Hddd.....very happy made for meee

for all the dum head people its after all primary quality and secondary budget which both been provided by micromax canvas series and coming model in feb .so why not micromax why other ? lol

I think this is the best phone at this range.
micromax gives hard competition to all other brands like samsung....
A116 Canvas HD targets to mid-class due to its affordable price.

AnonD-86903, 22 Jan 2013what is this Micromax that everybody is so interested in? i... moreWell, micromax is not known for Micromax for ground breaking build quality like Apple, HTC and Nokia. But, they have been on a phone release spree. Micromax is competing with the S3 on this phone.
At 15K Rupees, it's one heck of a deal....
For that price,
you get a quad core processor which is not as powerful as the S3 but, still good
An HD display
and a GPU which is like the toned down version of the GPU on the iPad
For me, it's a deal
because I do the heavy stuff on my Nexus 7.
This is like a side device for me. Emails, messages on the go, small time gaming on the go.
Of course, I can pick up a cheaper phone.
But, I need HSPA+ (42 Mbps HSDPA+ HSUPA 5.76 Mbps) and an HD display which this device provides.

what is this Micromax that everybody is so interested in? in my opinion, the specs are not so eye catching. the only interesting fact is its price. God knows about the quality.

micromax a110 is still now my first android phone...first i was very much brand aware and was much hesitant to go for indian brand cause of my friends who have lumia's,sgs2..and htc...finally i got a110 for the specs and again cause of my friends who brainwashed me that these phones have cheap hardware/built quality i planned to return it but the shopkeeper assured me that this model is in much demand and requested me to use it ...now its more than 3 months apart from a slight volume button problem i havent faced a single issue..even on net there are many roms developed for a110..now i can see my friends burning with jealousy when i told them about A116 and its specs and its price..and they know well i cant be brainwashed again abt this brand....whooo MICROMAX....ROCK ON

guys am confused b/w canvas hd and xolo x900 the benchmark scores of canvas hd on quadrant are around 3600~3800 whereas for the intel based xolo it is 3800~4500
i feel both have good scores but on anandtech xolo beats quad cores like s3 and one x in javascript and quite many others
also does canvas hd have nfc????
and does xolo x900 have nfc?
please i want a.phone. with nfc, wifi direct, good connectivity, and good screen that can run most games
also camera is a priority
also is galaxy grand a good option

Atleast 30 new handset variants (frm low to mid end) are expected in 2013 alone.

Dual SIM is currently huge market, as many people are going for Dual SIM.
Micromax is doing great job by launching high end phones in Dual SIM.
