I dont know how much need to wait for win10. I am just fed up. Waiting waiting and just wasting my time for this bullshit..microsoft should quit from mobile business and spare us from sufferings.

the experience with Windows phone is just worst ever....
i mean there are the lack of important apps.....
like -: applock, call recorder, pic editor, video maler , call locater
etc.... there are many things that Androidhave but Windows doesn't have...
the camera is worst in night and low light...
overall the phone is just bad.....

it is an very good phone but......there was some mistakes.....like call recorder not work....also some time application crack automatically....

I'm using 64gb samsung evo plus memory. use class 10 memory card. n about camera its can beat anyone in dis range its pics r queit natural.about lag its in android not wp even u use high Graphic games. over installes 100 apps in my phone including Ashpal heat. wp have all neccesary Apps now windows mobile ll b official available for dis next month.. stop reccommeding lagroid

I have used this device for almost seven months. Overall I will not recommend this device ,I recommend Samsung galaxy a5 or j7 over this Lumia 640 XL. The positive sides of this device are good battery life( for average use you will get at atleast 1-1.5 days), camera picture quality is good but sometimes picture looks unnatural, display is bright enough, browsing experience is good, gaming performance is ok but for high category game like asphalt airborn 8 sometimes you will see some laggings which mean that 1 GB ram is not enough for this type of games, and as other Windows phone the phone doesn't get hung and it runs at the same speed all time, The negative sides are poor Windows operating system; the customization and multitasking are very poor comparing to midrange Samsung Android device, lack of useful apps even in the case of important apps you will see noticeable limitation, the default apps are not limitation free for example default internet explorer is too much user unfriendly which is surprising in the case of 2015 smartphone, it claims that it will support SD card up to 128 GB but I am surprised that it actually doesn't support even 32 GB,I use Samsung SD card and 16 GB SD card is not enough for me, the video taking is too much inefficient; in 720 p settings in room light condition for just 30 seconds videos it consumed almost 40 Mb memory and in 1080 p settings it will consume almost twice memory than this; in sunlight condition the video color looks quite unnatural; I don't know the position of video taking in other smartphone, Overall it can't be a recommended device when I see there are good midrange Samsung device like a5 or j7 which is slickly higher priced than Lumia 640 XL but better than this Lumia device. The most poor experience is Windows operating system which is very limited comparing to Android OS.

This mobile is good but it does not support most of the apps tat I cannot install instagram,snap chat doest works and retrica doesn't open now I regret buying this mobile

Sometimes my Lumia 640xl's display color & contrast going to change automatically. After restarted it is fixed. Would anybody tell why is that & what's the solution of this problem?

The device is no doubt ... moreWindows phone will never lags and hanging problem because it needs devices update.You have to connect with wify zone and check phone update and install the same.Please note all Lumia phone requires wify connection for system (device) update.This update will fix all the issues like lag & hanging .After 5 month using Lumia 640 XL today I bought Lumia 640 for my Dad.I didn't find anything wrong in this Lumia series a perfect smartphone.

I bought this device 10days ago ... The device is no doubt awesome but the device has lagging problem and inbetween 10days I have faced the hung problem that is why I have to remove the device's battery... So guys what should I do ?? And aslo gaming performance is not good ... Even subway surfers has been lagged ..

but i think scaning is important to your SD card to keep working properly..
but dont scan it in your phone.. it takes too long to scan on phone..
someone told me that just remove sd card from phone.. put it in card reader and connect to windows pc.. it will ask you to scan sd card.. scan it. PC scan more faster than phone..
i think scanning process takes 30 to 60 min. on PC..

If I ignore the scanning process then I am not able to use any content stored in SD card even apps also .So I have only option to scan Sd card and wait for a while till scanning process complete. Why It happens....?

i think it is hardware problem.. our lumias have Class B gprs connectivity.. in class B gprs only one thing works at a time(gprs or call)... means when their is a incoming or outgoing call at that time gprs connectivity aborted until you end call so in that condition with no gprs connection True caller doesnt identify/search caller id from net..
this is my opinion.. this is fault of class B gprs conectivity

I tried connecting the mobile to a computer via anUSB cable. but the mobile is displayed under camera and scanner section. also the windows explorer or the file explorer were not showing the mobile or it's phone or card memory. what is the solution for this?
