Can someone please inform me about where to purchase this phone because it is not offered in the U.S. and I need a phone that can work in the U.S. as well as overseas. Verizon only offers one samsung phone and it is too expensive for what you are getting on it for features. Thank you SOOOO much.

No it won't work on GSM networks in N.A. since it's only 900/1800 GSM (N.A. uses 850/1900). Verizon carries this phone for international roaming capibilities.

Have bought A860 in China, in Scanghai electronics store, sim free for 530 USD
Using it for one month. Using it in Kazakhstan (I have two subscriptions - CDMA 2000 and GSM 900). Although claimed dual band actually is tri-band (supports GSM 900). Has two slots and can work with two RUIMs, two SIMs, one RUIM and one SIM in any combination. Switches from GSM to CDMA very fast (5 second), particularily slowly from CDMA to GSM (20 seconds)
Chineese version comes with 30 MB mini SD card (with USD adapter), phone connestion software with phone-USB cable and spare battery, no bluetooth or IRDA (I'm upset). SMS is working fine both in GSM and CDMA. A big hassle (still not solved)to make WAP (both for CDMA and GSM operators) and GPRS running. Has a useless Cnina Unicon U-Magic/U-info menu for data services, couldn't pass through to configure data services with local operators.
Battery is more or less OK, lasts two days in normale usage condition (several calls (20-30 minutes) per day).
Camera works badly in dark conditions thanks god there is a flash (LED).
Menus and interface is better than in older motorolas, but still far behind from beloved SE 630.
The same time has bought LG W800 world phone (the same Qualcomm chip based dual standard tri-band product from China Unicom)- much more nice thing, user friendly interface and better polyphony, twenty bucks cheaper, doesnt have mini SD card.
Have seen Samsung SCH-W109 - ugly device.
