And Defy + has same features except 1Ghz processor. For that you need to spend 3K more bucks. :P.
1ghz can also be done in old defy by using CM7(its a software). Defy can be overcloked.
SO its my personal suggestion that go for defy..

I don't use any screen gaurd.
Screen touch is just awsome. And its' made of Gorilla Glass. So you won't need any Screen Gaurd. But If you want to be extra possessive for your screen you can use it. ;)

Had bought this phone in Feb 2011. I have to admit this is by far the best phone i have ever had. Previously owned galaxy 3 and was really unhappy with samsung.
Motorola defy is exceptional in terms of performance and ruggedness. Sometimes i wonder is there anything this phone can't do. Have modded this phone, played 3d games , played 720p videos and no lag or difficulty at all.
I hope motorola keeps the Defy legacy alive and comesup with newer Defy models , because will be only going for motorola defy series phones in the future.
At the given price range this is the best phone ever made.

Friends, I have been using it for a month now.
Performance has been excellent. And am loving it...
Only worry is, when I held my mobile continuously for more than 10 minutes (say playing games or watching videos), my fingers getting tired and they are turning numb.... :(
this has been my biggest concern, is it because of Radiation or something else... please help...

please guys when i buffer a video if i want to go backward , forward or replay it buffers from the beginning again and i have to wait for it to load, is that normal or it is only my phone and any body knows ho to fix it, thanks

just reboot in recovery mod then make a backup of ur data then install ur update cyanogen zip file from ur sd card then reboot ..using volume keys to scroll up and down and the power bottom to choice ..that is all

Whenever I receive messages on silent mod... morehi , u must have missed something . did you mean there is no vibration when messages are received ? you may go to Text Messaging > press the menu key > Messaging settings. There , u will see an option for vibration for incoming messages once u scroll down .
