Whenever I receive messages on silent mode it does not vibrate i have checked all the settings please help

neel, 21 Oct 2011i had purchased motorola defy befor 2 months but not its no... moreive have found their service poor they have had my defy since sept 28th to repair problem not recieving radio stations did not even work asi pick it up from store gave it back to fix now its november 6th i asked for a replacement they still want time to fix my phone after they could not fix the first time motorola servive is none existant

Goto Settings > data manager > data saver > see if "Enable data saver" is on
If its on, device will postpone market downloads untill you connect to Wifi

im having my defy about 3 weeks ago its pretty good but some times laggy, internal memory is great camera is good too, have not rooted it yet resolution is great gamees is good on it
please defy owners i have a question
after buffering a video when i jump to any part of the video or replay it begins buffering from the beginning and I have to wait again? Any suggestions, thanks in advance

After too Many researchs on Net I got my Motorola defy. And I am not regretting a bit.:)
This is the best smartphone one can ever had. :)
At this price Moto defy would be the best choice for you All. I was stuck between Samsung Galxy Ace, WIldfire S(HTC), HTC Salsa. But I finally went with Defy. I know that Motorola has very bad service in India. But you won't need any service issue in Moto Defy.;) So why to worry for. Afterall 14-15K is a much money to spend for( Not much for those who are working in a MNC. :\.. But for me (Student) It was too much.),So don't go for Samsung Ace ,as it has very poor touch sensitivity , and I don't know what is the 800mhz is doing in Galaxy Ace because even Angry Birds runs very Slow. Huh..!!Forget HTC wildfire or Salsa And Go For Moto Defy.
It's touch quality is more than awsome. And any Game on it is running like butter on hot Knife.:P
In India Dust is A problem, Unexpected rain is Problem.. LOl. So You want to spend your money on a phone which can resist water and dust too.:P.
This is the real Piece of Technology.
And yeah This piece can have some problem(I didn't get any yet), But At this price Bachhe Ki jaaan Loge kya? remember Nothing in this world is Perfect.;). I have installed Dolphin brower HD and i am Enjoying Full HD Video.;).
I got my Moto Defy from Flipcart at 14,500.. However Infibeam is giving at 14000.
So don't be in nay confusion , just go for it. :)

This removes the fact that the phone had been rooted .. and hence getting back your warranty too .. So all u gotta do is flash using RSD lite .. :)

I have upgraded my defy to cyanogenmod 7.1.
Now if have to send the phone for warranty ,to install Froyo of 2.2 version,can you pl let me know the procedure?

i bought my defy last april 2011. this phone rocks for this price range. you just have to root the device, upgrade to nordic froyo then, upgrade to miui. i have been running miui for 2 months now and i've got to say, its fast. current miui version for defy is 1.10.28 using the latest android release version 2.3.7.

One question,is ther any option to enable/disable to ensure that I wil be able to wake up the display with home capacitive button.
(Apart from power key,volume button is also wakes up display!!)Haptic feedback gone for the capacitive keys
