manish, 19 Oct 2011I had just purchased defy and has been struggling with basi... moreI am using my Defy for last 2 - 3 weeks. Once you tweak it a little bit, then it is an excellent smartphone. First thing you have to do it to switch off the GPS. GPS sucks the battery. Make sure you use WI-FI, Bluetooth and Mobile data only on demand. So most of the time it should be off. Keep the brightness only 25% or less. That is enough for most of the time. With these settings, I am getting battery for 2 days which I think is very good for an Android phone.

camera uality is fine there are mods and noise resolution mods in xda webstite go and search for it camera is not an issue
and for green lens users yes we can use camera after gingerbread ..cm7 and liquidarc and miui and offcial roms of defy+ all have patches which make green lens camera
NO ISSSUE AT ALL GO BUY THIS DEVICE ONE FITS FOR ALL + RUGGED..\\

i had purchased motorola defy befor 2 months but not its not working properly.. i submitted it in service center but service center person told me that it will take approximetly 15-20 days for repairing.. it means motorolas service is very poor.. u have to improve ur service standerd... plzzzzzz

(Assuming that you have green lense)

Well to those who need to update to 2.3.7 cyanogenmod 7.1 .. Follow the steps here

hey guys , is there a big difference between Defy & Defy+ in performance ,because i want 2 buy one (the original Defy is available in my country with warranty while the defy+ is not available) is it worth 2 order Defy+ or just go 2 the Defy

"It has not been supporting 3G services from tata docomo"- Are you that your APN values are correct?

I had just purchased defy and has been struggling with basic functions like text editing, browsing, etc.
The battery life is awful inspite of boasting 1530mAh battery.
Screen quality is far inferior then Samsung AMoLED
worst part is the touch screen that gets operated on itself.
It has not been supporting 3G services from tata docomo, the very thing smart phone is meant to do.
the silver lining out of all these odd problem is its asthetic look and handy size that can easily fit in the pocket.

I hate this phone. It's slow, lagging, restarts by it self, at times it has difficulties to connect to internet, and what's up with the smilyes on my phone? all "B"s turns into the smily with sunglasses and problems with other smilys too.
I'm getting a new phone cause I can't stand this one, and I'd rather use my old SE T700 in the meantime than to continue with this. I'm about to break this into a million pieces in frustration.

I heard that motoblur kills the processing speed(lags).Is it so?
Samsung Galaxy Ace is Awesome! But the case is its GPU is just Andreo 200.. so.. which is better for:
Good battery life
Gaming
Watching videos
Browsing
