Tan, 10 Oct 2011i bought it on thursday and its getting slow and gets hot a... moreyou need to stop apps manually if it lags.. its on settings.. applications.. running services.. manually stop running services if too many apps are eating on your memory..

please guys, i want to buy this phone but how can i upgrade it to 2.2 officialy ? is it easy from the phone or what? and any suggestions i dont know which phone to choose! does it worth to pay more for 2.3 android or choose a phone like galaxy ace ?

Anybody successfull in either stock froyo or CM7 ,remapping the Home key yo have display on (like power key).This is the most irritating part of the phone where if ou want to display (who called last or time etc),you can to press poer button or volume button!!!

come on ! what's the big deal with the vibration of home keys ? those aren't important at all . radio in defy cannot be played using the loudspeaker so if you wanna do so , find a radio app that fits your needs .

i bought it on thursday and its getting slow and gets hot as i turn on net.. it hangs if i try to download more than one application from market.. it hangs evry now n den n den i have to restart it.. after restarting it runs smooth but then agen d same.. even if i keep my net off it shows some download from background dont know how to turn it off.. can someone help me.. its my first android...

Hi,
Since home button is capacitive ,do I have to hit the power key all the time to switch on the display or do we have a easy method.COming from Samsung series,I find their home keys more usefull.
Also ,even if you switch off the haptic feedback,phone still vibrates ,when you hit the capacitive keys in the bottom?

I have this amazing mobile from last month. 1st of all it doesn't lag in performance n if we talk about apps n games , I have installed nearly 100 of apps n even I got amazed whn no single apps give lag each n every apps n games performed nicely . Lets talk abt hd games so I found I really unbelievable that games like nova,splinter cell hd ,gt, asphalt runs very smoothly without any lags.
N regarding battery its good in it performance,if u r getting full signals if not thn obvious half of battery drains out searchig for signals.

Do we have a equivalent tool like Kies in Samsung?
What I wanted is to sync up the contacts between the Phone and computer and should be able to merge the contacts to each other

Its one of the best gadgets I hav ever owned. A real gadget u can depend ip on. The phone is handy and responsive. Initially I had problem with the battery back up.

I got my 'Defy' last week. Its camera is very poor and Battery drains like anything if you talk for a bit longer time. Only these two cons..rest everything is awesome in this phone..speed is good enough..sound quality is much better than average...screen is amazing withing its price range...WiFi works very good and same with EDGE...I have got more then 100 apps installed (including preinstalled) so need to restart once everyday. Using 'Regina' launcher which is fast enough. But I feel...there are lot of improvements required in Android (was using N82 earlier)..but yes "Defy" is fantastic. I am loving it!

1.Does it have Office editor or viewer alone?
2.what is frequency of GPS locking?My Galaxy series was a nightmare!!
3.Does the package contains memory card?
4.How is the bowsing speed in Edge (Since it is a Class 12 device)

[deleted post]We're not lucky, motoblur comes pre installed..And you got it right, it will be running in background after launcherpro install. It can be removed but that is very risky, although I hardly observed any battery wastage.
Yup, theft included. I had a very bad experience a couple of months back, so I opted for that.
Cyanogen mods are bit controversial, some say it voids your warranty, so havent done it yet.

Screen is very good, as far as I know no other phone of this price range gets even closer to resolution
Audio is good, not sony ericsson quality but loud and clear enuough
