Received my Defy from Hong Kong ($US 326) build was Defy_v2.2 running Android 2.2.1. Very pleased with features and performance with no lag in apps or navigating menus however I dont do any social networking apps so removed those widgets. GPS reception not good indoors. This Defy had been rooted so I installed Titanium Backup and removed a few Chinese shopping applications which were systems apps backing them up to the microSD card first.

Can anyone explain how can I upgrade to 2.2 andriod on my defy in UK? My defy has gone really slow and takes ages to load all the contacts on screen which makes me dial wrong numbers sometimes. Any help on this would be appreciated.

                                    Hi Everyone,
                                    i've ordered a Defy from flipkart.com,
i've gone through lots of forums reading user reviews
where i read this few problems faced by quiet a few no of people,[mainly users from US & Australia]

1] Defy's Screen developed crack after charging it for half an hour, screen got scratched easily when kept in pocket with sharp object like keys etc.
2] Hard reset does not work, and in some reviews, hard reset option is not available
                                    3] ear piece developed fault.
4] not water resistant, speaker developed issue, voice sounded like gurgling, after getting little wet.

ARE ALL or ANY OF THE ABOVE ISSUES ARE FACED BY ANY INDIAN DEFY USER SO FAY ??
I've posted some questions earlier too, but din't get any reply.

Any reply will be great !
                                    Thanks
