Hello! i try to update my defy with the pc software, but the software will never recognice that the phone is conected... i have try it in all the different modes, and it never recognice that the phone is conected... i have uninstall the pc software and installed one from other region... rebooted... kill every app in the phone even the task killer itself... and nothing... do you(defy users) have some advice?

Guys, you don't need to do a factory reset if ur camera isn't working.. just go to applications list and in filter press show all apps... then select camera--> then press clear cache and clear data
It will start working again... do it for any other app which is not working after upgrade...

Hey people. I am an Indian Defy User, thou every1 is talkng about defy update to 2.2 froyo, I am still trying to collect pieces coz m not able to update my phone. I read somewhere about some specific versions to be updated... Here is what my phone says:
System version:
Moto_Version.2.59.0.MB525.Retail.en.SEA15
APfelx Version:
GAS_ASIA_USAJORDANRTINT15_P003
IS THE UPDATE AVAILABLE FOR THIS VERISON?? Can anyone help??

Anyone know when the UK Vodafone DEFY will be updated to 2.2? I received a text from Voda a few weeks ago saying there would be a major update before the end of 'the month' (IE, May). This gives them a few more hours yet. Anyone got any more info? Thanks.

In order to download from a 3G connection, you need to unselect the data saver option in settings
This option allows you to download only on WI-Fi in order to spare your data plan

B. Check your sim card with your provider. Some provider required to register sim card before you can conect to data connection

I am a Tmobile customer in the states and am interested in buying this phone. I have an older data plan for my Motorola ZN5. Will I still be able to use the Defy with my older data plan? And if so what features will and will not work? Many thanks for your help.

Im using this phone frm past 1 month, the phone works ausumn.
But only problem I'm getting is that I'm not able to download anything, it says "WAITING FOR DATA CONNECTION" and finally fails.
I'm able to broswse but unable to download..............plzzzzz help.
Even for GMAIL ACC. it says "A SECURE CONNECTION CANNOT BE ESTABLISHED"..........so guys plzzzzzz help.
