AnonD-7027, 25 May 2011yeah, because aginomoto already received the froyo update a... moreHello jacob, u need to install motorola software update tool(MSU) to ur computer first, here is the link, tick the agreement check box then download the MSU at the step(4)...save the file and open(double click)it...now u have MSU icon on ur deskstop...to install the update ,open MSU and connect ur phone to computer by usb cable, it took about 2 to 5 minutes to detect ur phone then follow the instrustion; thanks

i need help with something. i live in albania, my phone was bought in italy and its system version is mb525.retail.en.fr... i wanted it to be a version of .GB or .IT but i dont know how to do it. can plz some1 help. and is there any danger if i upgrade my mobile with the UK upgrade when my mobile is a French Eclair version?

I downloaded the softwer update from the link given and after I double click it immidiately start install the moto helper and motorola driver. When its finished, nothing happens. I connect my device, then the moto phone portal starts in my browser, get log in, then only a few country available to choose for language. Then I choose Sofware and Support-> Product Support, then the webpage for Motorola Charm is loaded. But I have got DEFY, not Charm! Please help me guys

NIK88, 24 May 2011choose your country as singapore?yeah, because aginomoto already received the froyo update and he is from singapore.. in the link that you gave me i selected singapore as my country and i saw the pdf file that explains that that update is froyo, unfortunately when i chose philippines as my country its still just minor update for eclair.. :(

i just learnt that android market is up for a new upgrade by the end of this year... AND IT CAN BE USED BY ALL ANDROID PHONES !!! ... its called ice cream sandwich lol ... i cant wait to learn more about this.

it says there that even philippines will receive update but when i chose philippines as my country, it only shows the update 2.59.0 for eclair.. :(

I already received official 2.2.2 update on yesterday, at first camera flash and moto input method not working...everything work fine after factory resect...my phone become very smooth.....improve camera with wide screen mode....flash 10.3 work fine....moto keypad is very beautiful with mixed yellow and blue color. ..quadrant benchmark show 1230...improved battery life and browsing speed. ...i m very happy with my defy now but one of my friend can't update his phone, i have no idea for that.

Upgrade Defy to Froyo. Read this Web, you will find the upgrade of all Moto hand phone in you area including Philippines.
If you live in other country, choose where you live in then choose Moto product. The instruction will walk you through. Easy upgrade

i bought this phone 3 months back... it was awesome.. but from past 2 weeks, my phone functions operate very lately. for example if i attend a cal it takes few sec to receive & also after finishing the call, the time duration displays for a min. apart from this problem, many say i dont receive their calls but the fact is i dont get any calls.. so please suggest is there any solutions. also when can we update defy to 2.2 android os

is this one really getting the Android 2.3.3 update? Then this one should be a very good optoin for me to buy because it's a good smartphone that can take some dropps and stuff like that. The only worry for me is the batterylife but no worry if this really gets the update because it should make the batterylife much better.
