I am looking to buy a Defy in the coming week and ... moreI'm using it for a month and it never rebooted... and you can use the phone as a modem for your laptop to connect to the Internet... VLC for android is still not finished (should be done within a month) - But why waiting for VLC when you can install yxplayer from android market and play absolutely everything now? It's just 2.1MB of download and Defy will be able to play virtually anything without a length and boring conversion process (even if you don't have a data plan 2.1MB is really not much).
And Galaxy Ace is dramatically inferior to Defy. Defy wins hands down :D

I am looking to buy a Defy in the coming week and ... moreI have had my Defy since Jan 7 2011 and as yet it has not rebooted its self once, i did reboot it once when them that i called could not hear me at their end with me using the phone or the speaker phone, once back on it performed without a flaw.....on both the speaker and speaker phone, the reception and call quality is excellent even when i am in a huge department store i still have a grest connection and great call quality.

can anyone tell me what is the meaning of "limited storage for installing apps" and I heard that it is more laggy with Motoblur but smoother with LauncherPro.Is this true?

Hi guys! I am looking to buy a Defy in the coming week and so I need a little clarification on a bunch of issues..
My major concern is that there have been many reports about the phone rebooting. Does this happen a lot – why, and how can the problem be solved if it does occur?
Secondly, can I use the phone as a modem for my laptop to connect to the internet? Would the required set up be easy for enough for a layman?
Since the phone does not have divx/xvid support, will those formats work if I install VLC/any other player?
Considering my first two requirements, would you suggest that I get Samsung Galaxy Ace instead?

Hi, There were lots of good reviews given to Motorola Droid's screen clarity & color reproduction. SO compared to that, how is the screen quality of Defy?
Also is it a IPS LCD?
What is the color depth of panel, is it 16 bit or 24bit.
As I can see from some videos that its viewing angles are not so great...

Hi!I just bought my Defy yesterday,its really a good phone but Im surprised that Android Market Apps is not included & learned from some discussion that it is not allowed in some place here in the Middle East.is there a way i can install it or how can i download & install apps for my phone then wthout breaking the warranty,,thanks & help will be much appreciated..

I bought this phone nearly 10 days ago. This is really a great phone.Good touch screen, sound good, battery life ok. I m happy with my selection of phone. My advice is go buy it.

One more observation. On Indian website of Motorola, you can download the manual of Defy. Even in that manual it's shows Speech 2 Text option.
Wonder why Indian consumers are not getting same model of phone even they pay right amount for such a high end phone.
