Amazing... moresorry...ur answer to other queries....
4)out speaker is loud when hearing music?
out speaker is best ever....for music as well as for calls.
even voice quality is best ever
5)is have any hanging/over heat when charge
no hanging at all...
slight heating if u talk while charging...but thats much better than any other phone...
6)surfing is fast or slow/
i use opera.....and with that...its close to broadband speed......i prefer my phone over my photon connection on laptop...just that flash support feature as claimed is not getting getting used..struggling with that...
and any defective found on it
no defect...as promosied...real shock and scratch proof...dropped many times....tried scratching...but failed...and poured glass of water..just to show off to my frds....

Amazing phone....I have been iphone and nokia user earlier....never even experience a better phone.
coming to ur queries-
1. Battery life...im super heavy voice and data user. (Max a person can use)....battery lasts for 8 hours exactly. to me..its ok considering my usage.
2. Visibility in sunlight....at max brightness, its beauty....and totally visible under direct sunlight....just that marks fingers are left behind...causing some disturbance...but again...best in class display..
3. Camera is just ok...not great....not best in class at 5MP. video quality is decent. interface is not great...theres no timer..no dedicated camera button ...and on screen camera button is at the corner,,which if not pressed properly can lead to opening of options..
but apart from this problem...all in all..best u can get at that price...
and above all android...and its market...its god...

specifications is amazing, but this phone has too many problems, I have this phone 5 monts, never egen motorola :(

Dear Defy users,
Does Defy has 'Speech to Text' feature? Does any one use it while typing the SMS?
In youtube it does show that there is a 'speaker' icon on keyboard while typing SMS but i do not find it in Display models of Defy in Mumbai.
Even the User Manual available on Motorola/in website shows Speech to Text facility.
Can any Defy user share his/her experience?

Old Nokia phones had amazing reception and I still use E50 as my 2 phone on another operator - just because of that quality reception. But those phones are ancient history and long discontinued now. Too bad new Nokia phones aren't even half as good when it comes to that. Still n95 shouldn't have better signal than Defy - I had n95 for a long time and Defy seems to hold signal a lot better for me - maybe it has something to do with towers, my network configuration or who knows what... For example in my basement my old n95 used have 2-3 stripes remaining and Defy on the same network looses only one!!! Neither ever doped a call thou :D:D:D

Motorola DEFY is an awesome phone, my step-dad is absolutely stoked about his, and he's had no dramas with it. I own a desire HD, and I'd recommend it to anyone looking for a phone that'll do just about anything you want. I rooted mine (now I have root access to the phone's file system) and put an awesome version of Android on it called "Leedroid 2.2.1" That overclocks the cpu a little (correct me if I'm wrong) to 1086mhz and somehow improves the battery by %20 and does a heap of other things. Google leedroid to find out.. anyway, its awesome as. Only big downside I have is that mine doesn't operate on Telstra's next g network...
