this phone is cool,gots mp3,good camera,good display.But it hasnt infrared(but it gots bluetooth) and no video on camera.Lisitning mp3 music is cool becouse of sterreo sound.:-)

there there SE,
i know the type of s*rry soul you are. this phone blows the K700 to kingdom come but then if u really wanna think urs is better then by all means suit ur self. LOL i need not disprove someone like you. the E398 replaced its orginal s/w many many months ago and the new s/w is much much faster.it aint even new anymore. it doesnt take a milli second to load the songs now. the camera in this is a billion times better than the lousy problematic K700. and when u really think abt it wht des the K700 really offer? absolutely nothing solid. its just one big gimmick to make money out of souls like you. not a single prominent feature. and to top it all off it has lousy 40 MB memory tht cant even be expanded. so how can u even make much use of the mp3 player it has? so SE why dont u just stop displaying ur thickness and let facts speak for themselves...

The slow interface can be bothersome when you (SMS) text fast, or when simply navigating thru the features. Makes me miss Nokia a little bit.
Hey Ed, HOW DID YOU MODIFY YOUR e398 to go fast & record v!deo? Could you refer the site/link, please? Any bugs/flaws appear since the "upgrade" you made?
Overall, this is still 1 excellent multi-featured phone. Why get a ROKR when this performs equally well? Rockin audio, expandable memory, all in a COMPLETE package...a real great buy!

hey abe u wrong.k700i is far more better than E398.they hav the same features but E398 lose in it speed.it take about 5-6 min to load the mp3 player while k700i does not take such a long time.so k700 i is better n abe ,u r wrong veri wrong.

When the phone is ringing, and u press the answer key, the ring tone still plays for like an extra second. What's up with that? Does it depend on the size of the mp3?
Also, u have to copy ur mp3s from the flash card to the phone to use as ringtones. Which isnt great cos the phone memory is only 5MB. But u can edit the mp3s on PC to make them shorter so its not all bad.
Other than that i'm really impressed with this phone, only paid R900 (rand) thats 111.513 euro :-)

ur so wrong man! its the exact opposite!! the SE K700 is a totally totally useless cr*p phone. the camera in this is much much better than on the K700. it has expandable memory which alone is good enough for u to get this over tht. and the reception on this is light years ahead of anything from SE. SE is the company tht always has innumerable problems with their phones thanks to their lousy softwares. this phone will never let u down. the best buy for its price.

to set mp3/mid as ringtone u can also go to the sounds list, select the sound and click the quick access button then choose apply as ringtone

personally i feel the user interface is quite user friendly and the graphics and keypad sounds are nice. i personally feel it is more pleasant to use than my prev nokia colour phones. the menu speed is ok and acceptable for me. phone looks nice too. it is a nice phone and i no regret getting it.

from the main menu select the bell icon, then choose the ringing style u want. then from the ringing style details, u can set the file u want as your ringtone

Which one of the following is better? SE k700 or Moto E398? They both have mp3, large memory, bluetooth, 640x480 pixels camera...etc. But Moto E398 has 3d speakers or something like that, so mp3 sound much better on Motorola and it also has MMC of 64MB, so more memory than SE. But i heard that SE are more reliable and it doesn't have such slow response like the Moto E398.

I have checked and found out that E398 does NOT support WMA files.
