Can anyone out there help me? My phone can't play mpeg4 files, it cant even detect the file in the card. Should I be activatiing anything in the phone to play the file? My phone is a 34r

        ok, i'm haveing a lot of difficulity deciding which phone to get,between the k700 and e398. could someone please help me out? i would like previous owners on both phones to tell me what you think of then image quality wise, sound wise, battery life wise,memory wise....everything you could possibly think of

              Hi,

              i managed to install the R374_G_0E.40.79R in my motorola e398 T______T yeah i know, i must have been blind then, so now i cannot turn on my phone coz i installed the wrong flash. is there any hope in fixing this or do i send it to repair? please email me :)

                Hi Frenz,
                plannin to buy this or Nokia 3230 this 1st.
                Sorry to bother but, need some info from U, pls advice...
                1)I wanna know if I can install an FM radio?
                2)Can I play ".rm" files (Real Player format), coz they r very small in size compared to MP3s.
                3)Wat OS does this fone work on?
                4)Is there a way to use RS-MMC card instead of the T-Flash one? (coz their expensive).

                  While it is true that it is possible to use a memory card without formatting it first, I have learned firsthand that memory cards are more reliable if you format them first. This is true for cards used in phones, cameras, PDAs, etc. By formatting the card, you are allowing the hardware device to fine tune the card.

                    hello... i`m a proud owner of this e398 and i think its very useful.. but i have few quetions... can anyone pls just answer...

                    1.) can this phone supports up to 512mb of rs sd? or even 1 gig? is it going to hang if i used more than its upported ? or is it depends on what rs sd im using?

                    2.) erm.. is it normal if my newly formatted trans rs sd have used space of few(504 kb) of space and after "master clear", my phone memory have been used few(57.2 kb) and for what it is used for??

                    3.) where can i view my phone published date..? as if in nokia, we press *60# to gain its serial number or *0000# for its imei...
                    i just wanna make sure i wasnt being cheated by he phone dealer..

                    4.) is there any modification to reduced the lag time while sms-ing? i read the page but i just couldnt find where ... can sumone please explain for the good of all motorola e398 good.. thanks!

                      i got the new moto e398, one important point is that the moto software runs only in the windows 2000 environment and not in 97 or 98, if you have any query in using the s/w or cable or anyting else, mail me.

                          its not neccesary. The memory cards comes alreay formatted, just plug n use it. But some ppl prefer to format before use.

                              To format the TransFlash card:

                              1. Settings --> Phone Status --> Storage Devices

                              2. Highlight TransFlash card on the list.
                              3. Menu Button --> Format
