Amateur photographers or professional photographers work for YouTube channel, and guess how many people will buy it. Do you need macro? Or will ordinary people need macro camera? Are you a tech guy? Do you need telephoto lens on mobile phone! Will professionals trust you if you say I will take video or photo on mobile phone! What you say it's really ridiculous! Main camera is fully enough, if you are not super special tech guy, who is trying to macro objects! And For Nile crocodiles nobody will carry Sony Xperia I or mobile telephoto! There's no sense what you are talking

Read before answer, I didn't say about anything professional cameras, I said about mobile phones, and 99℅ of people don't need macro because we are not National Geographic guys, not everyone need telephoto lens it's for special people who work may be National Geographic! And you don't know anything about National Geographic because they use Red camera, do you have an idea how much does red camera cost? Do you know how many cameras do they use...read and learn before answer! For an ordinary person macro and telephoto useless and for stupids

Try taking a closeup photo of a Nile crocodile (which by the way are very opportunistic and aggressive) with a "normal lens" and let's see how short your working distance would be. Try taking a photo of a Comodo dragon in its enclosure with a 24 to 30mm lens. Try bird photography without a telephoto lens. Try sports photography without a telephoto lens.
That's why we have telephoto lenses.
Wide angle lenses, on the other hand, are easier to stabilize. If your hands are shaky, then handling a wide angle lens is not that hard. Individuals with stable posture and camera handling are better able to reduce shaking and vibration while using a telephoto lens. Telephoto lenses, even the entry-level ones, are typically equipped with image stabilization mechanisms.

First of all, what is considered a "normal lens"? We have different lenses for different purposes.
Most YouTube tech reviewers use macro-telephoto lenses to shoot closeups of products.
Macro lenses are typically telephoto lenses. The Sony FE 90mm f/2.8 Macro, Canon EF 100mm f/2.8L macro, and more. Theses are great for taking closeups and portraits!
It is also useful for mobile imaging. Take the recent Xperia lineups.
The Xperia 1 III has a 70mm telephoto that is ideal for portraits and useful in taking photos of far away objects. It is relatively difficult to compose shots with a telephoto lens (but this depends on the skill of the user).
I own a 30mm macro and a 200mm telephoto lenses and I use both for taking photos of landscapes, portraits, the moon, and macro photography. It gives more blur (if you want to). Telephoto lenses don't distort subject's features. If you want distorted portraits, use wide angle lenses.

Telephoto lenses are ideal for portraiture and macros (with a macro lens extension, which I do all the time). I also have mirrorless cameras and lenses and I prefer telephoto lenses. It is challenging to use, though.

in my opinion better to go for samsung or iphone
moto is quite good for mid range but for high end, it does not provide a good set of camera, display is not flagship, stereo speakers missing and why would someone pay such high price for stock android. there is google pixel for that reason.

I miss the leather feel of the old Motorola phones, no fingerprints no broken glass and definitely no shiny stuff for attention.
I hope they bring back the plastic back with leather feel.
Now for this phone.... i wish there was a headphone jack and Micro SD card slot.
I hope the camera system would compete against other brands.

If the price will be acceptable for this phone then this phone is excellent for photography! And also all those micro cameras are gimmic, so go for excellent image sensor and camera capabilities

Look image sensor of telephoto camera is smaller than main camera. If you have close to one inch image sensor and a good camera program then you can create all in one with single camera! What you can't do with nice 50 mpx Samsung or 12 mpx sony camera on iPhone! If you know the basics of camera, the single camera with optical image stabilization, close to on image sensor and other essential things for right camera you will shoot excellent photos!

Again it may work for iPhone, but I prefer create something without telephoto lens! If you don't use telephoto you will learn more about photography! Lol, having it recharge every day is not and never has been efficient. The sad truth is that wireless can never surpass wired audio, especially when it comes to audio quality.

Telephoto is for lazy people, for shaky hands! I think IPhone created for unprofessional photographers or beginners! Two months ago I saw a girl who was using telephoto camera of IPhone, yeas it was kind a good, yeah it was kind a good, I think she was stupid as you! And she was earning money from iPhonography. But, absolutely she doesn't have any control over camera. If you want to stay stupid not to learn basics of camera go use it
