Weirdly enough I do have the Scan option in the camera app, well if you mean the document scanner then yes.

I also have scanner missing from the camera app after A14. It was there on A12 & A13.
Oddly, when I try to set up lockscreen shortcuts the scanner is an option, yet it's never in the camera app any more.
Is there something in the settings that you cannot use when using lockscreen apps? I ask this because on A12 & A13 you couldn't access split screen apps from the midscreen gesture if you're using gesture navigation but A14 fixes it.
Perhaps your lockscreen problem & mine could be conflicted by another setting we are unaware of?

My review after one week of using/owning the Edge 30 Ultra.
The design, while it's subjective, I think it's great, build quality is top tier, and I like the in-hand feel as well. The Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 may not be the newest but it's still plenty fast and this phone with its lightweight software and 144hz refresh rate is silky smooth, and that's why I decided to run it on said refresh rate ALL THE TIME, no 60hz or Auto mode for me, I also had it on max brightness all the time. The battery size may not suggest great results at 4610mAh, which is not particularly large, but the actual battery life of the device is amazing. So far the heaviest day I've had while using this phone, was yesterday, and between 8:00 and 23:59 the phone managed nearly 7 hours of SoT with 22% left, and that's with constant 4G (no, I don't use 5G) connection, max brightness and 144hz. Charging speed is however a weird one, considering it's 125W, I expected it to be faster, but on the other hand it's still perfectly fast, and it took 25 minutes to get it from 22% (closest I got to 0%) to 100%. As for the software, my device is running Android 14 with the March Security Patch, and it's great, I haven't seen any bugs, apart from one weird thing that will hopefully be fixed but I don't personally find it a big deal. The new lock screen customization function doesn't work, I can set my lock screen to look different than the default but it won't change, not even after a restart, but of course setting any wallpaper isn't an issue. The camera setup is great, and I think all of the three cameras do a good job, but I wish this phone had a longer zoom range, which is my only negative point when it comes to the cameras, the existing ones are awesome, but a 4th lens, as a periscope zoom would've made it the complete setup.

The limitation of this phone is that its main camera does not have a dual pixel focus, or multidimensional pixel focus, which makes the focus somewhat "clunky" with only the obsolete standard PDAF. Also, the double magnification sensor (2x) has a poor, or no, adjustment in focus at distances less than 1 meter away. On the other hand, since updating to Android 14, the battery life was affected, I think due to lack of software fine tuning, which should be corrected with an update

Only issue I feel is that battery life has been degraded significantly and my SOT has been down from 8 hrs to barely 6 hrs. Might be due to software updates but still it keeps up for entire day without any heavy usage.

koala, 22 Feb 2024not quite sure to get the edge 30 ultra. a13 doesn't s... moreI really can't fault mine I got.mine last year and only issue I've had is supercharge playing up. It's seems to behave now after Motorola sent me a new charger free of charge. I.never have to restart it or anything unlike.my previous one plus which was a glitchy mess. I'd highly recommend this phone the charging is a game changer if you use the phone alot. Far better than an A13 which is a budget phone where as the.motorla is definitely a flagship killer. I even smashed the high score on geek bench with it however I did stick the phone in an ac vent while doing it keeping it super cool but it shows the performance in the phone. The android is very standard as well very minimal bloatware unlike for.example my.mrs s22 and for far cheaper than an equivalent Samsung product.

Motorola is very slow in updating phones to latest Android versions. It's been over 6 months now and I am still waiting for AD14. Still no update on Indian version. Motorola please speed up your update policy.

Is anyone else unable to enable lock screen shortcuts?
The setting is accessible and I can interact with it but every time I lock the screen to try it out the shortcuts are not there and when I go back to the settings it's disabled again.
Is it only available in certain contexts because nothing is mentioned in the set-up?

Upgraded au version overnight & working fine for 12 hours. A14 allows split screen from gesture swipe in the middle of the screen when not using buttons now. Before you had to go from the open apps list when using gesture navigation.

hi,i updated my phone to android 14
i am using in UAE since august 2023, my phone working perfect,since android 14 update,my phone got sim network issue,internet not working,sometime disconnecting, some time no sim signal showing,0 signals,i am fedup.anyone faced this issue ? i tried to reset the phone,same issue ,help

not quite sure to get the edge 30 ultra. a13 doesn't seem to be a friend of it.
so far i've read several camera issues and battery drain issues what are concerning, also seems like a14 there are some fixes but unsure cause not too many ppl have it yet.
The specs are really good but the service seems bad. Get a fusion instead?
