When I got this phone (by the way it's a seriously great phone, beautiful phone in its dark blue color), I could not figure out how to take pictures in the max resolution myself. To be clear, I'm not into this megapixel craze. But if you want to take pictures at the maximum resolution, here's how to do it. When in the camera app select the three bars beside the capture button, and you'll see several options including night vision, panorama and pro. There should be an "Ultra Res" option. There you go.

Not a bad phone at all (not into gaming, so can't comment on gaming). Excellent battery life. However, at this price point, I really don't see why Motorola/ Lenovo could not provide a compass!
And, yeah, the megapixels are gimmick. You can't take images in 108mp or 32mp. There is no way to take images on the advertised mp count.

I've been using it for a while.. and I swear motorola has done a great job.
It has Stock Android which provides me with way better experience of UI than any other Android UI...
Also the power of Snapdradon 732G is awsome to keep me up with my gaming experience.
Overall It's the Ideal phone for me 😁...

This phone is great, amazing batters, few bugs here or there, but still better than Samsung s20 Fe I bought before.

Works well especially teams, outlook and zoom. Camera average. Battery life is good lasts all day 12 to 14 hrs will use up 80 85 percent

Worst phone i have had in years. Lags SOO much. Even Instagram reels start lagging after watching 9-10 or them.
Restarts randomly and gets SUPER slow many times during the day.
And even after its clean UI it is full of bugs. Sometimes you can't scroll down notification pannel when in landscape mode. Recently the sounds has ruptured , as if it is speaker problem, but even in earphone the sound is same when u get incoming call

Have been using this phone for 1 year and the fingerprint reader is busted after a reboot. The fingerprint reader option is not even shown in the 'Device Security' options. I see only screen lock, face unlock and smart lock. This issue is prevalent in most of the Moto phones. Do a simple Google Search for "fingerprint reader not recognized/missing in Moto phones" and you'd see tens of such cases. Without fingerprint, I feel like I'm using a phone that's 10 years old.
One more thing - although the UI is close to AOSP, there are plenty of useful features missing. There's no option for locking the apps for privacy reasons; no option to record in-device audio when recoding the screen/display; no option for dual apps and lot more.
Not going to buy Moto phones again.

The only think is missing to this phone is double tap to wake up the phone. There is some peek display option, but the screen goes on even on small movement while is on the desk. And it is so annoying . Only then you can tap to wake up the phone. If you disable that option there is no tap to wake .. Other than that this phone is the best for the price .. Go for it..

For how long will it receive updates? I'm considering of buying this phone, it would be a real dealbraker if it's gonna receive security patches for only 2 years

Update your camera-tuner (and three other) Moto camera apps from Google play store. They have drastically improved the performance for a perfect 108MP click!
