Moto = clean, smooth Android, and it might get Oreo.
Z = expandability via Moto Mods
Play = the version with superb battery life
Additionally, there's the AMOLED screen too, if you prefer that over LCD.

Today I got new update patch 118-22-2-8 any positive changes if any body get it plz tell me . When Oreo update for moto z play waiting yaar . I m using this device since January 2017 great experience no lag issue best for battery life i really impressed

I have owned this phone since July of this year and I must say, I am very impressed with this phone. I love it and have had no issues with it so far outside of the occasional glitch, but that happens with any OS. The battery life is phenomenal and with the battery mod, it has made charging my phone not a worry at all. I would recommend this phone to anyone looking for a budget smart phone with a decent screen and EXCELLENT battery life.

John, 28 Nov 2017Moto Z Play,,,,,Disppointed,,,,camera does not work,,in for... moreMoto Z Play is an excellent phone with top class battery, high average camera and gaming experience. During daylight Z PLAY camera competes with any I phone and top Samsung phones but low light performance is equally good. I have tried various third party apps available in play store. I found Snap camera app night mode best for Z play as photos taken even in street light appeared as if taken during daytime with no noise. Night time videos with same app beat Samsung 7 Edge hands down. Open camera app photos taken during daylight takes care of lack of OIS. One has to try both apps to see the remarkable difference it makes in both still photos and video performances.
Don't condemn Motorola with your experience which appear to be trolling to me. Some trollers are writing fake views about draining of battery after 7.1.1 and other security update.
In fact, after the first mentioned update battery backup has increased considerably which has been reported by many bloggers. After 8 or Oreo update expected in a month or two, battery performance will further increase.
