    Hi all. M motorola xt3 user. After about 5 mins of video play, my phone get restarted automatically everytime. Any idea regarding this problem ? I also tried realplayer, but same problem.

          step by step process to froyo(which I noted and followed):

          1)Root the phone with UniversalAndroot. (http://www.filefactory.com/file/b4e1a2f/n/UniversalAndroot-1.6.2-beta5.apk)

          2) Install RomManager (clockwork mod) from android Market.

          3)Open the Rom Manager and click on "Flash ClockworkMod Recovery" --> Select "Commtiva Z71" phone

          4)Then Backup your original ROM (scroll down to see the back up rom option). The ROM will be backed up on the SD card. Save a copy of it elsewhere safely in your PC.

          5)Download the following files from the respective links
          ROM (2.2) --> update-cm-6.1.2-Z71-signed.zip (http://www.filefactory.com/file/b4e1b4b/n/update-cm-6.1.2-Z71-signed.zip)
          Google Apps --> gapps-mdpi-20101220-signed.zip (http://www.filefactory.com/file/b4e1b9g/n/gapps-mdpi-20101220-signed.zip)
          Camera Patch --> Patch_Cam_CM-6.1.2-Z71.zip (http://www.filefactory.com/file/b4e1ba3/n/Patch_Cam_CM-6.1.2-Z71.zip)

          copy these files to the sd card (do not make any folders).

          6)(FLASHING ROM) Open RomManager and click "Install ROM from SD card"
          select "update-cm-6.1.2-Z71-signed.zip"
          tick for Backup existing Rom and Wipe Data and Cache (very very important)
          click ok to reboot and install
          The flashing process should take 5-10 minutes installing everything and then 10-20 minutes during the first boot. Please be patient during this process.

          7)After the phone boots you will see new ROM (froyo). There will be no market app (no need to panic).
          Now open RomManager and click "Install ROM from SD card"
          select "gapps-mdpi-20101220-signed.zip"
          tick only for "Wipe Data and Cache"
          Ok to reboot and install

          8)After phone reboots the setup process starts (as if the phone was started for the first time).
          Complete the setup process and after that you'll see the market app and other apps.

          9)Now again open RomManager and click "Install ROM from SD card"
          select "Patch_Cam_CM-6.1.2-Z71.zip"
          tick only for "Wipe Data and Cache" (i think no need to tick it also, because if you tick it, after the phone reboots the setup process repeats once again)
          Ok to reboot and install

          ~~~ PATIENCE IS THE KEY TO YOUR SUCCESS. DON'T THINK IN ANY POINT OF TIME, YOUR PHONE IS NOT RESPONDING AND INTERRUPT THE PROCESS WHICH I THINK OUR FRIEND killa MIGHT HAVE DONE ~~~

            The step by step procedure is clearly given for XT3 update to android 2.2. This is very safe to do n am telling outta my experience. I would like to repeat one mandatory step you shouldn't skip (its already listed in the forum). Always CLEAR DATA AND CACHE while reboot. And don't worry its safe to do those n I tried it on my own Mobil. All the best.

            FROYO on XT3:
            Pros:
            1.The user interface is great. Also U get some advanced "stuff" lol.
            2. Long press back key to kill the application u wana exit.
            3. Install applications into memory card.
            (Ofcourse the above 3 points r characteristics of FROYO. Ppl who doesn't have idea note.)
            Cons:
            1. Battery backup is almost same as that of 2.1 but not worse.
            2. Proximity sensor doesn't work when you are on call.(have to check for some third party appcn)

                If you want 2.2 rom for XT3 then search for boston mania.you can get custon roms for XT3.but you would have to root you Xt3 with Z4mod.you would also require rom manager to backup your stock os.

                    FROYO IS GREAT man! !!
                    Just a few hours ago I did my FROYO upgrade. Will let you guys about the performance and battery backup after some analysis. Just keep yourself visiting. Then I"ll let you guys the procedure how to do it.
                    Also one more great news for Indians or ppl in India.
                    Reliance GSM cards are now pre-equiped with 3G. I got one and ....... guess what!!!!!??? My HSDPA(GPRS in 3G) speed is 4.5Mbps Max download and 4.1 Mbps Max upload speed. .
                    Ha ha am very happy. . Wooooo!!!!
                    All u have to do is to get a reliance GSM & activate mobile internet pack of Rs. 99. Free usage 2.5 GB per month.

                    'll be coming with my FROYO experience(on this Mobil) and also steps how I upgraded to FROYO soon. May b tomorrow.

                        How much hours of battery backup one gets from this phone? Please answer in hour basis . will i get 7 to 9 hours of battery backup for the normal use or less?

                          Guys, the battery of my new XT502 lasts only a day and a half even after sparse wifi use. Is this normal performance ? It's much worse than my iPhone ! Should I return it ?

                                      Google for the manual GPRS settings. It takes seconds to configire.
                                      Settigs - wireless and networks - mobile networks - access point names - new.
                                      now, add the access point setting for bsnl. google to find the same. I told you how to. :)

Select via bluetooth. Done. it will search for devices. pair the device id you want to, permanently. This is abt if you want to send. (outgoing !!! lol)
                                        To recieve files via bt, switch on bt. go to bt settings. clock on 'make my device discoverable'. Then, ask ya friend to send the file u want. Enjoy !!!! (Incoming Done !!! lol )
