This is an awesome mobile for its price. See, considering your budget, this is THE IDEAL phone 4 u. Cuz, u gotta go beyond 24k to get better phones.
Don,t worry abt d camera quality. U know, camera quality depends on the image processing software. U know, in this, images are processed at 5MP. SMILE :) !!!! One more good news is that, the flash is PRO. Images are awesome even if taken in dark room.
Battery is a very big problem. Can,t blame the battery. Its android 2.1 drinking the battery. Its sure that, 2.2 froyo upgrade will be available this year considerimg the specs of the phone. (man!!! its got one of the best chipsets.)
Don,t worry abt battery. its gonna be fine after 2.2 upgrade.
And yeah. The volume is not too high like Sony walkman series phones. But the volue can be compared with Nokia E series phones. Dude ! the quality and detail of the audio is awesome.
And the speaker is good too.
The only con in this mobil is the battery life. But, motorola is not to blame cuz its cuz of android 2.1.
Its got a Gorilla glass display and you dont need to have a scratch card for that.
One more Con. No data cable comes with the box. Have to buy. Am using my Nokia E52's data cable.

Am planning to buy an Android with a budget of 11k to 17k. I have read the reviews and wanted to know more about the following cons that I have read about:
Battery: How much does the battery last with the application killer that you are talking about? How does the performance of the battery deteriorate with time? Should I worry that after 1 year, the battery may not even last a day.
Camera quality: How good or bad is the camera. Am asking this as I have got mixed reviews on the same.
Speaker: Have heard that the speaker is not good. How is the speaker phone while on a call. Is it loud and clear / ok / problematic?
Usage of the trackball very often leads to switching on of the search function. Is that the case. How irritating is this?
Should i wait for Android 2.2 or this can be upgraded?

Just bought this phone on New Year in Chennai, INDIA. Its the best in class for cheap android phones. Comes with android 2.1. and on the box it says 3MP cam but when you take pics check out the resolution, Its 5MP to my surprise. and Got it confirmed from Motorola as it has Gorilla Glass. We may get Froyo update in Q1 2011.

Does anyone know what this phone is known as exactly? The BSNL service provider is unable to send the right GPRS settings for this mobile. Yet to activate 3G.

guys i dont know if its just wid my phone
bcoz it suckes(not wi-fi)
all of the sudden buttons stop working
and planing to change it
belive it is the worst expirence have ever been through wid phones
but i hope ots just wid my phone becoz no doubt its a good gadget but hm....... not satisfied wid my one
