I'm currently using this phone and is very good.
You can make it readout your messages, save a number private. Oh it's good.

Nice mobile phone, good design, and very slim clamshell. Although I never buy and try Motorola RAZR2 V8, I think this mobile phone is suitable for people who like Motorola RAZR mobile phones and don't need 3G/HSDPA. Its CPU class is ARM 11 (see in www.jbenchmark.com) and CPU MHz is about 438. I think it is faster than Motorola RAZR V3xx or Motorola RAZR Maxx V6 for processing. And of course, it is better than Motorola RAZR V3i, in my opinion.

yanyan, 10 Mar 2009Quick question does the "420mb/2gb" memory means that there... moreWhen V8 first came out, it did offer a 512mb internal memory version, then came the 2GB version.
Then if you plug in your V8 with the USB cable, on your computer it will display 2 drives, one with around 50mb and the other being 2GB (or 512mb for the initial version)

its a wonderful fone taken all round. the only downside is the low backup time. but then again there is no such thing as a perfect life and there is no such thing as a perfect fone. for those of u who like a great quality fone in all respects without frettin too much on the backup, v8 rocks.

Jo, 21 Feb 2009just a question for all the experienced motorola v8 users o... moreI think such feature is defaulted through the Linux software being used by V8, or other phones like E6 running on Linux.
The designer thought once you saved a contact, the system would duplicate a copy to both the phone and SIM card, so in case you switch the card to another phone, or put another card into the V8, you can always have the contact info.
Understand might be annoying to scroll through the "doubled" contacts, though might be nice if you ever switch your phone/SIM...

just a question for all the experienced motorola v8 users out there....
how do you changed where the phone saves contacts to? everytime I save a new contact it saves on the sim as well as the phone memory. It's really annoying since I don't want to have 2 x every person or have to go through and delete them one by one.
appreciate any help
