This phone is utterly cool, so thin yet very solid. The ext screen is very large, but the int screen could be larger (say 2.4). The music player is as powerful as the ROKR Z6 and E2. Love tis very much, a must have phone.

We can own one too, but we chose not to pay the premium price for buggy prototypes.
If anyone is interested on owning one, try CTI-Miami and Celluloco.

I'm am one of the lucky few to own one. (Not revealing my sources) But this phone is a truly a RAZR reborn. It's just a little bit heavier than the original V3 but lighter than the V3X or V6 Maxx. The force feedback from touching the media player keys on the top feels weird at first but after you get used to it, it really is a nice feature. Aonther feature I like is you can actually read text messages on the outside screen without having to open the phone. The 2 megapixel camera is one of the best I have seen from Motorola. You can create you own folders which makes things easier to organize. Sounds quality is great. Music playback is great. But what sets the V8 as well as the V9 apart from the rest of the RAZR family is how sleek and sexy it looks. By getting rid of the "hump" at the base of the phone where the atenna is, this phone looks like a exotic sports car. I'm one happy camper =P

I'll bet by this time next year there will be Razr2 V8x's, Razr2 V8xx's, & Razr2 V8 Maxx's. LOL! Imagine the odds of that.

RAZR's never seem to hold their value.
MARK MR WORDS, by this time next year, the phone will be $100 with 2 yr contract, and everyone will be sporting it.

As I mentioned earlier in my post, there are only ballpark price and estimated release is first two weeks of July.
Ballpark prices are $399-$599 USD. And Cingular will be getting the V9(expected) and the V8 is headed towards T-Mobile. I'm usually on par. I think you should be able to pick this puppy up with a 2 yr service agreement for $299-$349 USD.

Release coming from Ed Zander's speech in NYC on the day it debuted was, "GSM version start shipping in Asia in early July, and it will be available in all versions and technologies over the summer."
Estimated prices are ranging at $399-$599 USD, so somewhere in that ballpark. There will probably be a few different packages as I have experienced with most Motorola's.
Information about the US Version of the RAZR2 V8 on T-Mobile was already leaked, and the "Wildcat"aka V9 for ATT is also in the woodworks.

The ONLY way this phone will be a revolution or whatever is if it costs like $50 brand new like the V3.
I'm not anti-Motorola, I actually like Motorola a lot, and I like all the companies a lot...but I'm 14 and I don't get why people say phones suck so much what they haven't even come out yet...
To show I like all the manufacturers, here's all the phone I've owned, in order:
*Remember, I'm only 14...*
1. (I changed out these phones a lot from April 2006 to September 2006 before I got a RAZR V3) Samsung X495 (blue), Nokia 6010, Motorola T721i-with the camera, Sony Ericsson T616 (silver)
2. (From September 2006 to November 2006) Motorola RAZR V3 (silver)
3. (From December 2006 to June 2007) BlackBerry Pearl (black-used, then broke-dropped it too much)
4. (Mid to late June) Another BlackBerry Pearl (black-brand new)
5. (As of June 20, 2007) Now a Nokia N95 (silver/plum-mint)

Vodafone is retarded...
They have the RAZR2 V8 now and under "handset features" the 2nd, yeah, 2nd feature is 3G, but the RAZR2 V8 DOES NOT HAVE 3G!!!!!
The RAZR2 V9 is the one with 3G...
