Got my V3 on contract from Orange as an annual upgrade about a week ago after being a longtime devotee of Nokia. So far no problems and I have to admit it's about the nicest looking phone I've ever owned.
Nevertheless, I'm stunned at the clown who designed the navigation of the phone book! I've only got maybe 100 numbers in it and because you can only search on the first letter it's miserable to use, God help anyone with the maximum 2000 numbers stored! Someone should be fired for this, what kind of focus groups were they using, dummies? It's also shocking to see that's there's no interchangeable storage/memory card implemented on the product... WHAT!!!??? Yes it's true. It therefore represents a technological dead end before it's even sold off the shelf in the store! After all this it still tries to pretend to be a useful Multimedia phone, but by definition it's clearly not.
All in all a nice looking phone, but with 2 glaring ommissions. The "kids" will be frustrated by a lack of storage versatility and ability, the grown up's like me will cry when using it's un-navigable phone book, and the more numbers you store the more painful it gets. It's undoubtedly pretty but the Yanks still need to get some industrial design lessons from the Finns! Oh yeah... And Nokia can do "pretty" too. I'll bet anyone £5 that these features are already implemented on the V3 MarkII somewhere in the bowels of Motorola. That's great, but then that's marketing for you I guess. I reckon the V3 was rushed.
As for people moaning about "Made in China"... Wake up folks, about half of everything in your life is already made by them, even if it's only in the components, that doesn't make the V3 bad, or in the case of "Middle America" ... unpatriotic.

i had this phone right after the A768 and i was very dissapointed. it's basically a phone filled with hype. the only good thing abou tthis phone is that it is so slim and light, but feature wise it is garbage. mototrola could have did some thing better with their money by promoting a better phone.slim is in but the razor is not. NOTHING BUT HYPE.

coolest phone i've got so far.
apart from being unable to send via infra-red and deletion of entire entry from sim card, the phone is flawless i guess.
sad to say some people are unlucky to purchase a faulty phone whereby everything goes wrong for them and those how are not used to it's functions.
took me sometime to get use to this phone.

Motorola have a big factory in China. The point is not where the phones are made, it is a matter of quality control!!! For example, a lot of goods sold in Japan are made in China......but they are of top quality......because of the straight QC standard requested by the Japanese!!!

*Everything these days is made in China! So are mobile phones...
I've got V3 for quite some time. It looks fabulous, but inside it's exactly the same as my old V80, nothing new.
All in all - extra cool fone! Try to find the "limited" black edition.

ive had my V3 for a few days now and my initial thought are that Im very impressed, it is probably the coolest looking phone available at the moment. I use it for work and it connects to my PC and my Sony Ericsson Bluetooth Carkit perfectly well. The signal is fine the call clarity is fine and the menu system is as easy to use as my previous Nokia 6260. The V3 doesn't have a massive memory we all know that, but if you want an MP3 player buy an iPod!! all the phones Ive used for MP3s have never has as good quality sound as a dedicated personal music player anyway. The battery life isnt great but again its still comparable with my Nokia giving 2 days use with bluetooth and gprs on all day and night. with regards to the software I found it very easy to set up with the supplied usb cable and also eay to use my response to people slating the phone and software are simple if you cant do it read the manual!!! lets be honest woul Motorola sell these phones with this software if they didnt work together?? Overall its the first Motorola Ive had and I would consider another one.

strenghts.
1.Best design ( Super Slim and Color )
2.Handy
3.Fashion
Weakness.
1.Very weak signal service
2.Short Battery Performance
- How to make the signal service more stronger?
- From which country was V3 made originally?

I just got it. It's a beautiful phone but the battery cover will not stay on. This is "out of the box" problem. The e-vendor is giving me hard time and doesn't want to exchange it.

I bought this phone with an O2 contract, I could not get the software to load so contacted O2 for help, they just emailed me a copy of the instructions that are on the CD. I tried to load again, still no good, the software would not initiallise..it just hung at that stage. Contacted them again, they couldnt be bothered to reply to me so after three days waiting I took the phone back to the shop and cancelled the credit arrangement.. I got a nokia, it works perfectly, does video/stores LOTS of music. Motorola V3 might be real trendy but it just wont do what the blurb says it will. A waste of time and money. And Boo to O2 too.

i really, realy, really want a v3 but most people that i talk to about this phone say that it is a bad phone. The only problem is that they don't tell me what the problem is. Would this phone be suitable for someone like me that will use the phone for calls, texting, bluetooth and taking a few pictures? Please, Please let me know.

I just received my BLZR yesterday. I had a razr and gave it to a best friend and now I have the limited edition blzr. Its awesome. I could have held out for the 1150, but chose not to. I dont need a lot of features and this phone will always be one of a kind. There truly isn't anything else like it out there.

Got this phone when they first came out. Used it for about couple of months. Now I am selling it so that I can get a Sony Ericsson S710a. Moving towards more feature side.
