Its cool. Nice design and nice to see such phone from motorola. After V3 Razr which is damn sexy but missing memory card and video recording facility. This is appealing.

I hate the V3 coz its a camshell. when u wanna answer a call u have to first flip the the phone open then say hello. isnt it just easier to press one button? this is why i thank god and moto for creating this phone. and nokia just hired these new (NOT STRAIGHT) designers. i mean EEEW, arent they starting to look like girly phones?!

I remember my dad owning a Star Tech in the old days (which was brilliant phone) and after that I began buying Nokias one after the other. I wasnt a big fan of camshells or Motorolla coz they are a bit hard to use. Until i saw this V8 candy bar. OMFG just look at it, I wanna cell my 6230 and sleep with the V8 :D

another long and wide phone - just like the v3 - yeah its thin - but the other dimensions make it bigger than other cell phones - just like the v3...
i just hope the rf or software bugs arent as terrible as the v3's...i suppose only time will tell on that...

From what I saw at GSM World Congress, Motorola has done it again.
The phone is 11.5 mm thick (Rzr is 13.9)
It is Edge class 10
Has MPTX with Push to view
Removable memory (T-flash)
Same display at triplets 176x220 TFT
MP3 player
VGA camera like triplets with video capture and playback
Bluetooth class 2
This is another beautiful work of engineering. My congratulations to Motorola.

This phone is definately thin & have more features than the stupid V3. The problem is that this phone measurement is 113x49, which means that it is very long & a little bit wide! This V8 is not such a small phone as some people's comment below!

OMFG...This is way better than Nokia in every form. I have had nokia's all my life and I like them, but this is way better that some of the nokia phones, besides the 7280.

This phone is the sickest phone ever. It's extremely small, despite what these people are telling you. I've seen the comparison pictures, and it's wayyyy smaller than the v3 in all dimensions. The screen is huge, vibrant, and colorful. It packs an unprecedented memory card slot for a phone of this size, and it also features everything we all have come to love. The black styling is very appealing. I will buy this, despite my love for Nokias and hatred for the Motorola operating system, due to the profound design of this handset physically.

@ Lowenhart19
Who said anything about nokias? i despise nokias. This has a big screen? i dont think so its an average size screen, big to me is sharp gx30/902, This phone is outdated even now an its not likley to be released till october, 111mm is very long for a non symbian phone these days that 2Cm makes a big difference you know, its just like the razer, good looking but no features and rather large (except thickenss), thanks
