I purchased this phone from ebay and it was sent from Italy. It does not have a service type of WAP only HTTP and have therefore not been able to connect to the internet. Please help!!!! I use cingular as a service provider but neither cingular nor motorola have been able to provide a solution.

Hello. Please stop this pointless tug of war/love about this phone. It looks nice. Its just not so good.
I have read in the news that anyone having problems such as I have with this with vodafone can demand a Warranty Replacement.
If all you people can write is its a wicked phone blah blah - then don't post.
Stick to the facts. It's a bugged phone!

Just got one and love it, except for one thing.
I can't get the USB thing to hook up to the computer. In fairness it could be my USB port.
Reception and voice quality is fully hectic bro
. Camera and video quality is great. It's a tidy unit and actually so far the best phone I ever had.
By the way, I heard battery life was crap but it lasts for around 3 days, which is way more
than enough for me.

Samsung and Chump... hush up cos we know ur the same person just being a hater... get a life and show some luv to the best 3G handset for 2006... HOLLA!!!
Also... stop talking bulshhhh.. the phone can record MP3 tones and use them as ringtones cos i even have the SE "You have a call" tone on my phone...MP3... just copied and poasted using the MPT 4.0 software that came with the phone... why u gotta lie to make the phone look bad dogg?... LIKE WE ALWAYS SAY... WHY DONT U JUST RETURN IT???
Also... my battery lasted me from 2am on the 13/03/06 and now at 10am on the 15/03/06 i have 1 bar left... and thats with texts/calls/video and camera used. Now thats exactly 56hrs...2 days and 8 hours... 1 bar left so should do at least 2.5 days... maaaaaaaaaaaaan the battery works!!!
Then...u coming up with all sorts of conspiracy theories bout moto tried to cash in blah blah blah... dont all Nokia phones look the same?...SE phones all look the same... why u think they do that?... if previous model worked why not make the new like it?...and if u wanna defend them saying they have diff type models then so do Moto..check it out man...even more variety of phone designs than any other phone maker and thats a fact!... samsung just copies the Motorola style...and thats a fact!
Yo... u sound like u got a PHD man...PLAYA HATING DEGREE... just buy a samsung... enjoy or hate it and go moan in the Samsung opinions area.
G'z up...ho'z down!

Some newbies to mobiles are saying that they are sick of negative reviews about this phone, too bad, its the truth and many experienced users who know there needs do not have the same needs as you, so get used to it.
The review of this phone on this website was pretty accurate accept 2 things which i may of overlooked if youcan correct me, the review failed to say that the battery life is short and the phone can not record mp3 files,, also to add that the camera and display is week in many areas with other new phones.
This phone was not made to stand against its competitors in features but style, it was marketed to sell out the v3 reputation for been razor thing which this phone is NOT or anything like it!
And Motorola sold many bulk contracts to Orange and Vodafone for example in hopes that if many people jump on it so fast and walk out the stores before they even tried it, then and only sooner then expected, Motorola may succeed in cashing in on the market the origional Razor V3 suceeded in and design a newer 3G phone which could be better, but that might not happen no matter how much everyone would like it since the compatition is on the rise!

Im sick of seeing this phone cop sooo much flack on here. I have had mine for over three months now. I had an issue with it resetting. Updated Software, good as new. Other than that, by Far the best phone I have had! Ive had Nokias and Sonys and 1 Samsung. Camera quality is exceptional. Whoever said it doesnt even compare to older sonys, what a load of BS! my older sony camera was crap. This camera is comparable to older Digital Still Camera Quality! its obviously people biased to other brands that bash this phones camera quality. MP3 player works fantasticlly well. My only gripe is battery life...prob only 2 days with my use, but even that albeit probably a little worse is comparable to other phones on a 3G network. Overall, Awesome Awesome phone, unfortunate others have had problems. What a joke the rest of the people on the Moto Bashing bandwagon with outlandish claims.

To Kevin...
Dude... ur charger is bad not the phone...same thing happened to my old v3... still have the charger and it never works well...got to fiddle around with it b4 it starts to charge... the one that came with my v3x works superbly... dont ghet it twisted and ocome up on here moaning... return the charger and get it replaced for free.
Everyone hears when i speak so maybe u gotta go check with ur Dr as u may have a problem.
My battery lasts up to 3.5 days on 2.5G and up to 2.5 days on 3G...right now it's been off the charger since 2am on Monday morning... and i still got 2 bars left right now... 5:17pm Uk time.
My phone's never frozen so kinda suspect u may be lying.. how can every software on the phone make it freeze?... dont even make sense.
The phone is the bomb take it or leave it and u luv it thats why u have not yet returned it... just return it if u sooooooo dislike it.
Motorola and G'z... Big up... all ho'z and haters down!

This has to be the worst phone to be put out with motorola.
Cons:
Impossible to charge. I have to fumble with the charger for at least 10 minutes to get it to charge. Only to have it stop charging 2 minutes into it. Having to fumble with the charger for 10 minutes again.
Impossible for others to hear me. Once again, motorola has the classic problem in which during calls, the microphone of the phone does not work, unless in speaker phone mode. I can hear callers, but they can't hear me.
Every little software program on this phone causes it to freeze.
Drops calls like crazy. Infact, CNN stated that motorola is doing a recall on this phone.
Pros:
Looks cool.
Nice colours.
Summary:
If this phone were $50, i'd say buy it. Otherwise, stay far away from this phone. It's about as useful as a cold.

Everytime motorola come up with new model there's always a bad talk. Why!?come on guys give them a change.I admit, Motorola is not hot as Nokia but, there's nothing wrong with the phone especially the v3x. Motorola has their own kinda features, although its lack than Nokia.I use the e398(upgrade version)and i,m satisfied. There's nothing wrong with it.I,m not a moto fan but i sure this is fair.........

Yes Henk. I've had the same problem. Someone on this forum kindly told me what to do about it. You have a corrupt contact in your phone book (my problem was that I had two phones listed as mobiles for someone in my phonebook, as opposed to say a work phone and a mobile). When that person called/texted, I could no longer access the green redial switch, nor the received calls from the main menu. Find the contact, delete it and try re-entering it using a different name/set of contact numbers. This is my one hang-up about this phone. Otherwise I quite like it but also have my eye on the new Sony Ericsson K800i. Anyone have any view on that phone?

Until now I am content with my V3x but sometimes when I use the phonebook, I look up an adress and touching the green phone to call, it jumps back to de phonebook pictogram. Sometimes it does the same when I want to go to the option "received calls" Does anyone has the same problem?
