I saw and tried the Motorola V3x in Malaysia on Saturday. If you compare it with V3i, I can say that they are a world apart. The V3i is far better in many aspects. The V3x looks cheap, the plastic casing is like a Toy and does not have the feel of a 3G phone. The screen was bright but looks smaller than the V3 and V3i. I can not call it a RAZR model. It more looks like any other phone on the market but a RAZR. so In recomend other 3G brands and if you wants the style only and only try the V3i.

excuse but people have a right to there opinion
1 certainly is helping others to investigate all the posts here, and
2 certanly helped me when i tried this phone,
I can not see how anyone lied about its cheap plastic look, bad lenses with horrible picture results, no audio recording and poor battery life, i mean they did say it looks nice, and looks do not allways have everything the eye meets, so why do you have a problem with the truth, are you such a hypocrite?

It's really interesting reading these posts here by people trying to depreciate this model in every single way they colud think of, without any reasonable argument though. Especially when commenting on v3x's display, "cheap plastic look", thickness(??),etc etc...C'mon guys, nobody is blind. I'am neither a Motorola employee (though I wouldn't mind beeing one, haha - suckaz), nor a Moto fan, but I can see the obvious.Every person interesed in this model can simply visit a nearest cellphone store and see for himself.

hey there i have had yhis phone for nearly 2 weeks and i can say a few good thing and bad things about the phone.
        Good things are that
        -great memory
        - good looks
        - decent sound from speakers
        - some good aplications

        bad points
        -rubbish battery life
        - it crashes a lot
        -slow bluetooth
        -songs duplicate on music player
-hard to download games for it
-the reciever volume is sounds too echoey and way to slow.

i rang vodafone up today because of most of the nentioned above and they r goin to send me a new one. lets see if there is any improvement!

Im sorry but this phone is not worth the trouble just for design

1 no audio recording, they want you to buy ringtones
          2 poor display
3 cheap feel and breakable, very fragile
4 terrible plastic lense resulting to horrible photos
          5 terrible battery life
6 not compatible with iSync or any apple apps

this phone is a joke, it sjust a v3 with 3G, nothing wrong with it?
Stick with the v3, its smaller and the only reason anyone would think of getting a v3x anyway, but the v3x is simply a v3, same software, bigger with terrible battery life and a tiny improvement of the camera.

many many older abd better 3g phones out there then this plastic toy model.

Oh my god. I can not believe you people.
There is absolutely nothing wrong with the V3x, and it is NOT the same as the V3 only 3G.
Everyone keeps on mentioning that the V3x is plastic. Gee.. i'd say thats just like most other phones on the market.
The display. How can you possibly say anything negative about the display?? It's 240x320, supports 262k colours and is made by Sharp, one of the most recognized brands for making excellent displays; the V3 on the other hand, had its display made by Toshiba.
And now the camera. The camera is supported by nVidias GoForce 4800. I'm not saying that this makes the camera excellent, but the quality is NOT bad, especially in comparison with the V3's VGA camera.
The only negative think I can say about the V3x, is the battery, which isn't too much of an issue, as long as you charge your phone every night or two.

If you ever hear that the V3x is rubbish, you can rest assured that the source is totally unreliable.

I tried this phone like some honest people here suggested, rather then taking anyones word for it.

I have a friend who works at a vodaphoe shop so i could compare it.

first impresion; looked cool first glance., then.......
1-plastic and cheap, i asked if it was the display model.
2-vodaphone software is better then the v3 moto software!
3-display, camera and functions where very very very slow!
4-some flaky buttons, anyone can make mistakes with.
5-then i tried testing the camera, terrible quality!!
6-Then i realized how cheap the display was!
7-i like the design allot and started wondering if it was all!

My friend said to me that people are taking Samsungs rather then the v3x because vodafone has a promo and it has many more features, and only because the MOST SUCCESFULL 3G PHONE SOLD OUT; SONY ERICSON V800!

my advise to anyone new to v3, forget this v3x, it is not better then a V3 at all, and not worth it unless you are obsessed with the design.

Motorola hired Taiwan toys factories to make this phone, even the camera, beware to try it if quality is a must over its design, looks are not allways everything and it most likely costed moto nothing to make this phone.

                  maybe $12

The camera on this phone is the worst of all 3G, i read below that someone claims the camera is bette rthen a n70 or n90, please man, older Sonys look better then this v3x.

pros: inice design for a flip phone
cons; terrible camera both for picts or video, missing features like audio recording and other MM formats, bad battery, no new software by Moto and the hone itself is plastic and breakable after using it for sometime, i mean it feels like its falling apart from typing numbers, i can hear the squick sound.

so i can only imagin ethat people like it for its design, maybe sony or Nokia can make a nice looking phone too rather then a good one, moto certanly folled the posers.

I bought this from from italy, and I live in USA. so the 3G is useless over here. I thought I bought the red/black v3x, I got the silver/black, but it still is sexy. As for problems with the phone...
                        1. Sometimes during a call, static type noise can be hear on YOUR SIDE only (but thats only 1 and 100 call at least).
                        2. I notice a screen lag if I had service at one area to no service in another area.
                        3. Battery life does suck but you can go through the day with pretty heavy usage. With normal usage, ir ptob last for 2 days, not more than 3 tho. Heavy usage to me is like 1 hour 30 mins a day with occasional playing with the functions on the phone.
                        4. It's big but it doesnt bother me seeing I am a big person.

Over all the phone is great. It's not perfect. All my friends are jealous on how i got it so early.

i think either motorola employees are posting or just a bunch of fans who lie.

thi v3x is the v3 with G3, thats all, nothing more.
the camera is teh same quality of not even less with compromising to cheap plastic parts, the display is also not very dependable with colors.

these are just some of the features the phone is supposed to caim too, but never the less it can not provide.

anyone here who thinks this phone is the best is totally full of it, and a liar!, there are way better phones and older ones that have features and perform beyond this v3x, which i only like because it is a slimm flip phone.

maybe the next version of the v3x can actually work right, record audio, have a real 2 mp cam and real battery, but not this one, this phone only serves the suckers out there who had a v3 and wanted 3G, nothing more nothing new, not even the software from motorola was enhanced, read the specs.
