I'am planning to buy one of these. So yesterday I visited my friend who had bought v3x.It really looks nice.We tested the phone's camera, and I must say it worked flawlessly. Of course, it's not like my 5mpix Sony camera, but it's much much better than any VGA camera in phones I've used before. The screen is brilliant. One thing that is missing is a call filter option, but I think I can live without it.

This phone looks great, but that is it! battery is rubbish, software has lots of problems, not worth the hassell.

kirk.use your cd that came with your phone and there you have program!you must install that and you can customize mp3 songs and send it to your phone with usb

I`m stil in love with the phone design, but here it stop all the good things about this cell. The most important > the software is a mess. Contacts list cannot be correctly syncronise with the PC software and if you try to change something from the PC to the cellphone, adress book crash. Before V3x i have an Nokia and never had problems with the signal even in the mountains, but with Moto I have bad signal in downtown outside or inside any building...:(. When someone calls me, first it doesen`t ring (says i`m out of area) and then I recieve the call. Camera I think it`s ok... picture must be taken in good light... Mp3 player can play just 1 song and then you have to select next song... it doesen`t play continuously (the stereo sound is good at the headphones).It doesen`t have games, you cannot turn off the blue light or the bip from the keyboard.
If I remember some other problems i will do another comment.

god.. u guyz are hopeless.. It is the best 3G handset of the yr, wad do ya want more from it? 5 mpx camera? and sE 3G phone? u mean K600i? lol, dont make me laugh. W900? WOw, a oversized phone..

Hi avry one.
I have this phone on order and was just wondering about the games and camera.
Does it come with any games at all or do you have to download them? If so, then is there any free sites I could use to download them from.

Great phone, only to many features....also more problems. I need help to turn off blue (external) light (uses all battery capacity)...who can advise. Thanks.

Lami, its very very strange how people will lie to claim this phones week points are not there at all and been biased about other users preferences.
i like to record audio, use video wall papers and have a solid phone like the cheaper and older models of nokia and sony, and i do wish that Moto made this phone to live up to the expectations if the specs like a 2 mp camera, but unfortunatly they lie and blame the software, software and hardware are NOT THE SAME AT ALL.
so i have to say , for those who want a good camera, audio recording, wallpapers and longer battery life forget this phone or if you can not resist its slim large body then live with these weeknesses (old parts from taiwan).
but if you guys think this v3x live dup to the expectations and atleast up to date with compatition then that is your choice, your own preferences, but do NOT tell people that this phone is great when in fact many who have it or tried it think its behind or had bigger expectations, try comparing it before jumping on others who prefer features or hardware for there money.
this phone should score 10 for design, 4 for features, 3 for performace in my opinion.
if you can not live without a decent camera for video and photos and or atleast expected this phone to be as good as last years nokias, then get yourselves a nokia or Sony, this phone is a v3 with 3g, nothing new, same old cheap software motorola used for there V3, i recomend vodaphone software, atleast it looks like Sonys which is easier and adds more features..
good luck shopping for a phone that will not break on you if you dial with this one, like the guy below from our University just posted, this phone is all plastic, even the lenses!

Hey my V3x makes this squicky plastic noises, its so cheap that when i dial i can hear it !!!
my guess is that i will never be able to sell this if anyone sees it, its like a demo model or something that cheap.

I'm assuming you are the same person, so i will direct this to one person.

No i dunno why you coming out me like that with your latest post, but i have never been bias in any of my posts. What i can't give my personal opinion and experience witht he V3x! I sure can, and you can go on all you want. It doesn't bother me at all. Yes i am well aware that my V3x was extremely defective, and i said that more than once, i also said i am not generalizing here, but i speak for myself and my phone!
Yes sure V3x was best 3G of 2006, i'm glad. Why hate? Nokia or Se aint my girlfried lol. Lexus won car of the year 5 years in a row, yet we all know BMW or Merc and many other are much better, who cares i sure don't.
I have no preference towards any phone! I buy what i like, had the nokia 6630, then SE K750i and right now i carry the V3i after returning my defective V3x. And soon i will be carrying the Nokia N80.
I respect your loyalty to Motorola man, but you gotta respect other people's opinions also! no one is a sucka here...

no one ever said the vodaphone software was bad or the problem, the cheap series of Sonys can record audio for ringtones or ideas, use video wallpaper and much more.
the only thing this phone is good for is 3G and that it is slim and this will not last long since the new Nokias and Sonys are allready out and are light years ahead of this dynasour.

Sorrry there , i do not agree with you, software or not the camera still is terrible, battery will not change, cheap plastic feel is still there and can not record audio, and not everyone who goes to vodaphone to get a 3G phone wants or knows about hacking phones to get them to work, so i think your better off trying another phone then having all this hassle.

I just saw this phone being sold at 3 in Hong-Kong for $4400 H.K.D. for the phone alone and $3980 for the phone with a 1 year contract. Are these people crazy or what? $4400 H.K.D. is $568 U.S.D. for a Motorola Phone? Way over priced...

Gabo... nice one mate... been tellin these people all along that their problems are due to their networks software but they wont listen... all they do is moan and pay attention to negative rubbish put on here by haters.
At least someone took some good advice and now enjoying the phone to it's full potential.
All o ya'll that did not listen and instead preferred to listen to people like Lami and Mandy on this here site... SUCKAZ!...HAHA!!!

I was just about to upgrade my D500 for one of these, but reading your reports looks like that would be a backward step.
I bought my 11 year old son the V3i, and I was very impressed, but maybe not all Motorola’s are as advanced ?
I was looking for something different, whilst the D600 is a good phone looks to similar to the D500. Back to the drawing board !!

Oi... had this phone since the 8th of Feb and i gotta say it is fabulous.
Mandy... read what The Real wrote and realise that all u wrote was incorrect info and mainly cos u dont want to understand.
Also... cant u figure out how to use iTap?... whats up with that?... when u type M-I-S-S and it adds on ed... u dont accept it then go back and delete it then claim it's the phones fault... U ACCEPTED IT.
All u do is use the 4-way nav key and press it to ur left...i.e. back... that removes the e & d...then accept the MISS by hitting the center of the 4-way nav key.
My battery has been on since 8am on Monday morning... thats exactly 51.5 hours now... regular use including calls and text; pictures, videos, music player use and 2 video calls this morning each about 5mins... and it's the video calls which brought it down to one bar as it was still two bars when i woke up from a call at 7:30am.
Maybe u dont know how to use the phone.
Also, Lami I think u just had a dud handset cos i've never heard and strange frequencies comiing from my keypad; battery brilliant as u can see above; all other phone makers use plastic and it's Motorola that set the trend for aluminium so why the beef?... dont see u complaining bout them???; bluetooth works too smoothly... always find what u want to move or copy first then select options...bluetooth and it will find all bluetooth devices faster than u can say bluetooth.
In my opinion... this phone rocks like mad...only issue is the contact bug but that happened once and never again with me.
I must say i used a Z1010 back in the day and this phone flogs it hands down... the battery life of that phone was abysmal... 24 hours max... or rather 12 hours cos once taken of charger 8am... by 7am back from work it's on low battery... ended up returning it and got me a V3 black and that was back in 2004.
I know loads of ya'll have some beef with Motorola just cos they seem to win everytime and for some reason ya'll dont like it... take it from me guys this phone is illmatic...straight up G to a T.
Plus... the moany people here all seem to be on Vodaphne and 3... cant ya'll realise that it's the software ur service providers have put on the phone that is messing it up?... Orange phones are fine in my opinion... note that Orange came out with it last here in the UK and that was down to vigorous testing... the rest rushed it to make a quick buck now all of u... their customers have been causght nappin.
Ya''' have been played and are definitely the weakest link... cos the V3x won the best 3GSM 3G phone for 2006... who wan test that?
