Even if V3x screen was totally blurred, I would still prefer it over w800's, cause it is way to small. But be honest and admit that v3x has a brilliant diplay.

Sorry ivan, that is totaly false and BS
Unlocking the phone only allows you to use it with other fone companies, the camera is still a needle hole with a terrible screen, what make syou think it gets bigger after unlocking it?

Vodaphone also has a better then the v3x phone called the E770v which blows tha camera and camera video functions of the v3x out of the water and back to the dark ages but its not a flip phone, yet its not unlocked, so where did you get that the camera was software?

      --------------------------
If you get rid of the vodafone software by unlocking the phone to it's true V3x software, the camera will be better. It will really fell and take great pictures;Just as good as Sony Ericsson(except for the zoom)!!!

The v3x comes with 64mb internal memory
(motorola v3 only 5mb) and can hold up to 512mb of extra memory.it's a total of 576mb!!
                Motorola is just awesome.

My v3x does not play video wallpapers like other phones do in the main menu, it has a few and when you choose them as screen savers or wallpaper for the phone the picture is stck at the first frame,

i will warn you all, this phone is nothing but hype and lies
                  -video wallpapers do not work
-can not record simple audio for ring tones
-Vodafone software is redecoulis and you can only pay for ringtones and mp3 files
-the camera on this phone is no bette rthen the first cams on phones, hazy lines accross the screen and washed out colors, no mega pixel or pixels at all., no way this camera looks like a 2 mpxl cam, come on wake up, who ever says this phone takes good photos is a liar!
-no software to edit or make ringtones or any other features.

Moto's addvertisement are false and they should be questioned about it.

Well. Seems my V3X has stopped working altogether. While it looks good the pros now outweigh the cons.

Buy the phone going by looks alone (some what foolish) it looks great

Level of service from Moto has left me wishing I had staid with SE or NOKIA. Moto has a lot to learn.

With Vodafone I didn't get software to use phone properly.

If this phone was a car it would have 2 good wheels. One that sometimes turns - and wouldn't have a 2nd gear.

Don't buy this Moto. I'll look to buy a cheap NOKIA and give up on Moto. Maybe it'll be on ebay soon.

does this phone come with 512 mb and so anything else comes with the 64 memory card and is this phone better than the nokia n70, is the camera better?

The one i have is grey, ugly and from vodafone., but it is the better phone they offered,

i fell for the vodafone points discount, i could of got a SonyEricson v800 for160 euroes in spain second hand.., and this phone makes the v3x look like yesterdays paper, it is the cheapest plastic phone i ever owned and also more limited then the v3 successor, my guess is that this is teh begining of the end for motorola, there flips floped.

                            sorry guy
-picture quality stinks, 3mpx with a pinhole camera does not work.

-can not record audio and make mp3 tones, forces people to pay and download crappy ringtones.

-cheap plastic phone, i thought the display model was more durable., the flip switch to go between close and far view for the camera looks like a loose piece of plastic

                            - can not sync with apple iSync, also older v3 did and could not sync photos with number addresses, just numbers.

-The motorola a770v was better in many ways, only it is not a flip phone and companys offering it like Vodafone EXPLOITED the button otpions by placing vodafone Live funstions on buttons they know people will accidently hit, like the return button for one which in the last stage after coming back to the main screen becomes a internet function.

These are the main issues with motorola, for the most part i like my v3x only becuase its my first 3G and flip phone, I chose it over the nokia n70 which blew it away in terms of quality with its camera for photos and video as well as its software which i like but cant stand its blackberry looking interface (Sabian).

I have a 7 mpx camera so the quality of this phone only works for taking supermarket photos of products i need to keep track of prices, i would not recomend this phone as a example for any 2 mpx camera, the motorola a770v camera is no mpx and is way better!

just purchased the V3x An excellent unit, capable of a very loud mp3 ring (can't afford to miss a call due to sleep) fantastic picture quality, Very happy in all areas but one, I can't transfer files to and from my Mac via the BT... and that's a really bad thing! I previously had a Sony-Ericsson Z1010 and the BT for OS-X was trouble free. If one phone can connect, why not the other? Why can't the BT software be a little more "standardised"? I don't want to argue over PC v Mac, these are both popular platforms and each do their jobs well.
...having said that, I don't regret the purchase... just really miss the file transfer.

                              Graeme.

bought it two weeks ago, no flaws, really satisfied with it, for those who never had a moto phone, just read the manual, it takes time to get used to menus.

the review of specs on this site says there is a voice recorder for simple audio recording and playback. its not in the manual nor in the phone as far as i can see.
im talking about simple audio memos that you record and save, then playback-not audio/video, not sending audio message, nor voice dialing

Well. For the 1st time since I've had this phone (since December) I now have a calls made list.

Contacts still mess up or can't be used.

Can't get pics of phone. Otherwise an ok - but flawed phone.

                                      Help!
