Ok yall I am still confused on how to utilize the audio.cl sound file to enhance the sound (treble & bass) on my phone. I love the phone but I dont like the sound, its so low unless I transfer a ringtone with a high bitrate. Also another thing I saw in the customization manual was the ability to to remove an existive icon on the main menu and replace it with a new icon such as an instant messenger engine. can anyone help me with that? Email me at aramynsavoi@aol.com

sorry mate, it's only 6 color, blue, black, white, gray, orange, and pink, never seen a red one before.
v3x doesn't have FM receiver build in, it can't play FM.

v3x: 3g, play many format sound (wma, mp3, wav, aac, m4u), video (wmv, mp4, 3gp, rm), a clamshell phone, fat and cute looking, only bad thing (video only work with 176 x 144 pixel format or less, but the good thing is you can display it in full screen), came with 2 sound player, manage the playlist well and can play background (you can do other application while still listenning to music)
D900 & E900 (same feature but different looking): my brother have a E900 (but keep asking me to put music in there for him, how annoying), the good thing is it can play video format with 352 x 288 pixel, but the drawback, it can't display the video in full screen (what the point you can play 352 x 288 but can't display in full screen), another good thing is the nice looking slider with sensitive button (for E900 not D900), however, don't put it in your tight pocket, or the phone will run out battery very soon cause it hate direct contact with material), Samsung E900 doesn't come miniusb connector (most new motorola phone use miniusb), another draw back, Samsung E900 play the sound not loud enough, you might not notice it when you're in medium loudness environment. About the camera, by default, it's 3.2 megapixel (yay), vivid picture but kind of foggy (digital camera on phone somehow got the same problem), hard to find the firmware for E900, so far, the firmware didn't upgrade so much feature, however, the media player of E900 look very nice (by the display),
For V3x again, by default, the sound and camera about the average performance for same about device, however, by some expert, and a lot of available firmware online, you can improve the sound quality and camera quality; since last month, i followed an instruction online, my camera and video camera quality is so much more improving, about 3 times, i think it's not so bad for a 2 megapixel camera from now, another thing, the autofocus mode of E900 is no way compete with V3x macromode (you can set it manually). For another thing, V3x is taking picture faster than E900 (somehow samsung taking picture pretty low and look lagging), but another good thing about E900, it can display on TV, and view some document such as word, excel and powerpoint, for V3x, you need to install java application that support it
If you're not patience enough, love a slider, and into sensitive button style, choose E900
if you are patience enough, really love to try on cool stuff, love to install themes and skins (how the screen would look),really love amazing stuff, choose V3x, or V3maxx, the samething with v3x, equipped with higher speed connection, 3g, and cooler looking + thinner,
by the way, both v3x and E900 (also D900) display very excellent, you can see the screen under sunlight very clear.

Chicago based Motorola got my Beta V3X black almost a year ago back on Dec 12th 2005. I first started by making sure I had the new up-graded battery BC-90 which will give you about 17 hours talk time and 12 days standby. I also opted for Bluetooth Stereo headsets with a high gain dynamic mic which is impervious to wind while driving. I am currently using an experimental high GB trans flash memory chip that contains thousands of tunes thanks to using 64db Amp compression ratio instead of over size MP-3 or iPOD type formats. There is no sound quality loss with wma and hundreds have heard both on my V3X and could not tell the difference. No problem with missed phone calls if you look at the posted manual on the Motorola web site 24/7. 3G really shines when it comes to Data and especially if you use your V3X as a very handy high speed modem. You will eventually be able to get T1 speeds for Free on T-Mobile network and at an extra charge on Cingular's 3G network. I believe now seeing the new V3 MAXX that it is a worthy sucessor due to EDGE being added back and HSDPA for 3.5G services around the world and the new Quad Band 850 to pick up signal strength in weak areas, especially rural America outside the cities... Finally I would like to say the volume on both the Speaker feature and on the AudioRAZR BT headsets are awesome and can at times be... Too loud, if you can imagine that? Mahalo

yes, it can make normal phone call and video phone call (like webcam during talking with your friend), but you need to live in a place with 3g service; if you live in Europe or Japan, you are 100% have 3g, if it is United States, the service still upgrading from 2.5g to 3g now, but in the near future, like 1 more year, 3g (video calling feature) will be more popular, just wait and see

The bluetooth function in V3x is great, support sending and receiving files, i can connect with the bluetooth device in my laptop to have the call volume increasing, and everything work great, maybe there're a few thing you need to configure in your v3x, check out the www.planetmotox.net in their english forum, maybe they'll help you to solve the problem

the motorola v3x is a great phone for me and i would recommend it to anyone who prefers a flip-type phone. the features are great like-
1. dual camera(2mp external and vga cam for video calls
2. high resolution internal screen (262K)w/ external screen so you won't have to open the flip cover all the time
3. 64 mb internal memory expandable to 512mb thru micro flash mmc
4. great audio player for mp3 songs
5. can record videos w/ sound, mpeg4 playback
6. stereo speakers and earphones, great for listening to your fav songs
7. personalizing ringtones for messages and calls, with picture id for all callers
8. flashing blue light for call/message alerts
9. much cheaper than the nokia phones.
10. almost forgot, it's 3g ready.
just one loop hole- the functions are quite hard to learn especially if you are too familiar w/ the nokia handsets.but with a little patience, you'll get used to it.
i'll give it a 5 star over-all rating meaning it's a good buy.

In my opinion, you shouldn't erase the picture that came original, it could relate to important function in the phone. However, another way to get rid of those picture, you could rename the picture that you like as exactly the same name as the original picture. Then use a software name P2K commander, upload them to the directory a/mobile/picture , the original picture will be replace with your picture, good luck !!

Nokia 6280 and V3x with feature about the same, by the look, v3x look nicer, and the price is cheaper, but you could give N6280 a try since V3maxx is coming out
