Hi!Has anyone tried to unlock nec using this temporary method that "NEC guy" has given?? Does it work??? and by the way...DOES ANYBODY KNOWS HOW TO UNLOCK LG U8120???

i have the e616v nec
how do you save music videos from 3 services onto the memory card instead of the handset. if theres no way is it possible to transfer from handset memory to pc or memory card.

NEC Temporary Unlock:
Put a 2G Simcard in and turn ON the phone.
#4960*xxxxxxxx#
*4960*xxxxxxxx*xxxxxxxx#
Turn OFF and ON again.
xxxxxxxx = any numbers
Remember the xxxxxxxx you used. You will need to use same code in the furure.
Attention:
- This unlock method ONLY works with one Simcard. If you change to another Simcard, you will have to unlock again!
- This method depends on the firmware version. If didn't work only a cable soluction can help you.

Hi
I know this has been asked a thousand times already but doe anyone know how I go about unlocking this phone from the 3 network uk? I only bought it to use with my PAYG Orange sim card cos my phone is so ancient it belongs in a museum! I did hear however that it is impossible to unlock 3 mobiles, so if anyone can also clarify this for me I would be very greatful.

Hi! If someone has any email address or information about unlocking NEC e616 mobiles please email me as i would really like to unlock my e616 as i dont like the 3 network - v. expensive. thanks, i would really appreciate the help! xx

If i use another usim mobile in my e616 that will it cause any problems. i have a e228 and swaped sims and the only thing is im worried that this may cause some difficulties to the hand set. can any one help? please email me at martin_c_1985@hotmail.com

grrr. am in the uk and have an e616v. i'll be damned if i can get ANY mp3's or Wma's to play, regardless of size or compression rate.. i get the sodding message "unable open (song name)"
Has anybody else encountered this? and if so, how did you resolve it ????

Can anyone please tell me the unlock codes for this phone (NECe616) i have bought one and can't get a signal from 3. I have to get it unlocked so i can use another service provider heres hoping!!

i bought this phone a few weeks ago, even though i had read countless bad reviews about it, but the price on PAYG had dropped from 199.99 to 64.99 and the lg was still at 149.99 so i chose the nec 616. i really don't understand what all the fuss is about, the batteries last great, i charge both about 3 times a week and that's plenty. everything else is fine, reception etc, the only thing i'd like to know how to do is if you can use your mp3 or wma files as ringtones.

This Phone has has alot of Faults one had that it won't connect to 3. I bought the NEC E228

PILE OF JUNK DONT BUY !!!!!
Three are not too clever , manny iassues are the rubbish NEC handsets though but at least if you use a sonyerricson or LG handset it works !!!!!
The battery lasts much longer and feactures work wiothout endless firmware updates.. EVEN the 313 is more stable.. I WILLL NEVER buy any mobile NEC make again... AVOID
