AnonD-6193, 22 Oct 2014Nokia is not dead it lives as Lumia foreversooo wrong. in my opinion, jolla is the true nokia now and then. Great sailfish os, on top of android app compatibility (BBM, whatsapp, supported). So poor it needs time to progress their market to worldwide. It's been a year since the first phone and it reached HK. Don't know if it's slow or fast marketing.

This is exactly unfolding as I predicted, Microsoft retained Lumia name, got rid of Nokia name. Nokia, it's your own fault. When you had a chance to go android u didn't take it. Sleep for few years and come back with a android flagship, that will be the time of re-born of Nokia.

It... moreoh so u r that kind of person who judge a phone from its spec not how it perform and its clear u havent used or atleast tried nokia n9. iam not a nokia fan but i have used all brands almost all os in the market. Android falls behind in multitasking to meego, even iphone. You can say something to oppose me but u cannot hide the truth. Linux is powerfull it doesnt need heavy hardware unlike android its not full linux.

This is how sharholders want to reach to some quick money. Elop killed two greater then android systems with one fire and worse, that heappened after the releasing of their great flagships. The n8 and the n9. Nokia didn't change? Hmm, if meego would have not been killed for this wp, android would have had it's killer. Symbian was way in front of android and ios when n8 came out. What happened? Why did't Nokia invested in it's graund staying and in the raise of the mighty meego and instead they invested in a pretty much dead system with dead ecosystem. Only when i think of how this would have turn if now i would see a 1020 with meego. Well, this is another story to tell. The truth is what the guy beneth me said. Nokia was killed oance they adopted blindly a dead system. And microsoft invested in this system only after killing every Nokia hope. Now why is that? Well, business my friend, just business. This is how some can sell their mothers.

It's not Nokia, their last phone was N9, E6, 808PV etc.
Microsoft "killed" Nokia, they want only good know brand, some patents and most important thing - Stop one of top company making own software. They cant buy Google or Apple :D but even when Nokia lose some part of market they still were in game, Nokia still was dangerous. And what Elop did ? Choose for the main OS niche Windows Phone. Mobile OS which need years to building grounds to do sth! 4 years to add sound control, VPN or take off limit of bookmarks...
You cant take OS like WP was in those years for main, Elop make even worse he killed Symbian and MeeGo - so if WP sales will be bad Nokia dont have other way. All normal company and their boss need to make diversification, need to calculate risk, make alternative strategy. Elop kill it in Nokia, he and shareholders destroy this company, perhaps they want easy money, they dont care about Nokia history, importance in mobile phones, employees, they surrendered without fight.
Maybe they think if they choose Elop for CEO, Microsoft buy it when stock was ~ 15$ not when they drop to 3-5$ :D Shares fall mainly of stupid Elop politics, he worked for Nokia or MS ?! WP in those years cant give enough size of sale for Nokia. They sell more phones with Symbian or MeeGo in this time if we compare that Elop announced end of Symbian or limited sale channels for MeeGo. I dont say WP is the worse os in history, only judge negatively affect for Nokia. They can stay on market if they have alternatives, if they can sell phones with Android and Windows Phone or even droid, wp and MeeGo. Why Nokia could beat others in Android..very well know brand, good phones, best camera, own supplement like free maps, good sell on Android + WP/MeeGo.. RIP.
