dunno abt anyone else, but i buy a phone based on what features i need that a particular model has
what features it has that i dont need is not important. better to have something and not use it than needing it but not have it.

So yes, it would have made more sense if I got the 5530 instead. Now if both of them were released at the same time, I would've had better choices and woul've chosen the 5530 instead of the 5800 that I ended up using as a 5530.

Yeah, it is a good phone. But the phone's battery limit you to doing so much thing in one day! Navigation + Photo taking?? 3 Hours i top i guess for the battery

Hopefully, the next iphone has that so I might consider it again. Otherwise, the n900 for me or the n98.
I have owned an iphone before, but I wasnt fascinated and satisfied.

I don't own an iPhone, and I doubt I would, but I really really do think Apple is preparing for something really big. Actually, I might go with the previewer of the N900 at mobile-review.com when he said: "by the year 2010-2012 Nokia, Apple & Google will be the leaders of this industry" and this is already being done, with the inroduction of Maemo, along with OSX and Android, they will be already the leaders, it's now the competition of softwares, and the 3 companies are entering it well, everyone with his own way!!

2nd generation add on 3G & camera 2.0MP and OS 2.0
3rd generation up the processor and camera 3.2MP and OS 3.0
But beside above mention, they is not a huge updates, all OS is upgradable in all generation.(Ya I know you will miss some function) 3rd generation even lazy till case also 99% same. 3rd generation is using as said 2x speed processor than 2nd generation but due to it not so good v3.0 firmware, you can't really tell the different.
All I can said it is just a minor updates.
I don't have iPhone but I do have iPod touch (OS 3.0 is damn bad coding, it is not as smooth as OS 2.0, you can see a lagging during rotate landscape and effect often gone with few seconds lagging during closing any apps you open) and I test all the iPhone everytimes it release. Sorry it is not my taste yet, iPhone is a fun toy but not a great business smartphone.

5530 has no gps, no 3g ,no secondary camera and the battery isnt as good as 5800.
But you would be upset if you bought 5800 a month b4 5530 is released.
I guess you prefer a phone with less specs.

There are notable differences between the 1st, 2nd and 3rd gen iphones. Only a person who does not know anything about the iphone would say that those 3 phones have identical specs.

Those three phones were announced in the same year with only a few months interval. Those 3 phones look identical both on hardware and software specs. If I bought the 5800 a month before the 5530 was launched, I'd be upset, wouldn't you?
