oho, 28 Aug 2009No, N900 is targeted at a different market "According to No... moreBut the reality was that, it will going to compete with each other weather they like it or not. Maemo or Symbian, if it has that Nokia touch it all look the same. If you'll going to ask any N97 user/owner right now, i think they're ready to ditch their N97 for N900. Wanna bet?

if someone doesn't like what nokia has to offer with this phone than i've got 3 words for u, "don't buy it!" BUT stop complaining about each & every phone that comes out...cause even WE are not perfect, when we are to be the best creation by the Creator & phones are just a mere creation of us human beings. so, don't expect everything from 1 phone...a little bit of this & that sets us apart from each other...the same applies to phones...peace!

i'm getting this phone period, one of the best phones to come out in a while

Why in the name easy living would anyone want multi-touch zooming? It's ridiculous! You actually need to use both hand when multi-touch zoom which is mot innovative at all. The circle zooming in the N900 you can do with one hand, I use to have that same circle motion zoom in HTC Touch Cruise, it was very comfortable.

Soul, 28 Aug 2009Nokia needs to make a non QWERTY variant of the N900, a lot... moreThese apps are for an older version, not all of them would work on this device. But hey it's just a few months after the release and the Maemo Select would be full of apps, useful apps :D

But my thoughts are that Symbian will be for less high-end phones, while Maemo will be the one for upper smartphones.

Soul, 28 Aug 2009Nokia needs to make a non QWERTY variant of the N900, a lot... moreLol. I can clearly see when Nokia announces Maemo phone without qwerty: "Nokia is copying gayPhone, where is the innovation" shouts.

I think that this is a few months too late. They should have sold this to compete with the iphone.

I fully expect Apple to copy a few features of this device in their next release of iphone.

And people complain about Nokia not being innovative anymore. *rolls eyes*

  • J-dog

honestly, i don care about the multi-touch... i rarely use the pinching thing on my ipod touch - it's just too awkward for me. I thought the circular motion zoom is very innovative.
