Kal, 11 Sep 2009A "high-end device" deserves more than 256K colors screen. ... moreXperia series and HTC's also have a 65k colors. My Q9h also has a 65k colors but I feel there's no difference with my Z8 with 16 million colors screen. Our eyes almost can't see the differences. The contrast of the screen also plays a bigger part. So,262k colors screen is more than enough in a phone.

    Anonymous, 11 Sep 2009@Kai Just another cry baby, who thinks 16M colors is all... moreLol. Some people like "you" most probably do not realize it that we spend a lot "more" time looking at our phone than we thought. Every time we make/receive a call,send or read sms, check time, watch videos/images..etc we gazed at it. In fact we looked at it "more often" than we talk over it. If you are not utilizing a smart phone's potential then yes you dont need to look at it and most probably you just need a basic phone with minimal display.

    Yes HTC's Android offerings are so far 65k and other windows mobiles are restricted to 65k effective colors. But Android supports more than that. This phone offers all that others are offering too. A better screen could have made it stand out like "Galaxy" does. That was my point.

      What on earth is so revolutionary about the Nokia N900? Actually it is revolutionary that Nokia came out with a phone that, albeit artistic photos, looks attractive and glossy like an HTC. I bet it is an omission of convenience that people do not mention it is resistive touch vs capacitive.

      Good phone Moto. May there be many more. The consumer loses when a company folds so long live all the brands.

        Actually I'm waiting for next version of Android, v1.6 or 2.0, that can play Divx and Xvid. Video playback is the reason I'm withdrew from hero, and here might be the similar case with Dext.
        I hope it won't be too looong!

          zak, 11 Sep 2009it is a beauty full phone no doubt but there is no innova... moreAll phones are copycats of each other, in one way or another. What makes you think a phone that is truly "innovative"? Is it because it adds a snazzy new feature, or just because it touts a gazillion megapixels camera?

          For me, Motorola is going in the right direction. Yes, it is late in the race, and yes, it doesn't stand a chance against other high-end phones. However, the CLIQ is just one of the many Android phones it has in store for us. The Calgary will easily surpass this one for sure.

              Can't understand why some companys name some of their products differently in different regions, will it not be easier for both companys and customers to have just a single common name!!...)

                @Kai

                Just another cry baby, who thinks 16M colors is all that matters in a phone. Most people probably don't even realize it, but during each 24 hour day, how much time do you really spend looking at the display of your phone? You're talking like it's the display of your computer where some of us have to look at it during 6-8 hours/day... Stop complaining!

                              A "high-end device" deserves more than 256K colors screen. It might not a deciding factor, but 16m is pretty much standard for high-end smartphone these days.
