Ok, so the device is on par with other high-end devices! Good! But, I still think that if Moto wants to survive they should come up with catchier, cooler names! WTF is Moto Dext? (or Cliq??) And their UI... MotoBlur????? Sorry, but sounds more like a defect or shortcoming than a cool UI! (How about MotoTouch... or MotoWiz... or MotoFlo... get my drift!!!)

Just stop talking about colors. 262k is good enough. Nobody can tell the difference between 262K and 16M on majority of the images you see except very special image. On WVGA format, it looks the same no matter it is 262k or 16m color. Check the phone spec, you fools. Nokia plays this dirty trash from the beginning. Nobody can garantee 16M color on all the images. Spec says UP TO 16M color, your fools. Again, UP TO to 16M colors. 99% of Nokia 16M color phone they claim runs 262K color image or lower. Good of example of RIMM Blackberry, always 65K color. Shut up, you fools!!

Well, it looks like having a spy inside Samsung is working out for Motorola. Samsung Impression, Omnia Pro, Solstice anyone? Or what the heck, Samsungs whole 2009 touchphone lineup anyone?

I like the black one, the white one looks like it's cheap plastic in the videos. Wish the phone had a flash though. I'll take a solid, well constructed Moto phone over a squaky, creaky, cheap plastic phone from Samsung, HTC, etc... Even if this Moto doesn't have all the bells and whistles of competitors.

Then maybe it came 2 ur mind y winmo, linux, android, cnt use 16m colors while symbian can, d fact that the equipped lcd display can display 16m as well! So when u look at ur lcd u cnt specifically compare d differences..unless ur running in a higher resolutions..desktop resolutions..

zak, 11 Sep 2009from inovation i mean n900 or iphone iphone came n ruled ... moreThis is the problem when people are suckered into the allure of "more features, better phone" scheme currently employed by all manufacturers.

So what if the N900 has everything and the iPhone is the most popular phone to date? Sorry, but some people don't care and just enjoy phones as what they are. If you say this isn't innovative, then fine. People will still buy it, and you know it.

Real innovation comes in making communication easier and more effective, not randomly shoving up features and software people don't really need.

This is a great looking phone and as always from Motorola! When it comes to innovation, Moto is the best (yes, other companies owes Moto for the vibrate function in you phone). You can't deny the call quality of Moto, my E8 and Z6 has CrystalTalk and the call quality is much more natural than my current Samsung Preston, which is not bad at all when it comes to calls. I wonder how good CrystalTalk 2 would be. The almighty brand just recently had their 1st version of CrystalTalk which is already years behind Moto.

For the people who cry no 16M colors. The human eye at it's healthiest could only define 7M colors, so that's 9M colors you can't see and 6.9M colors you can't even name. My Z6's 262k looks better than my Preston's 16m color screen.

for now, any new phone from Motorola is good news. This is probably the boost that the company needs to refresh its portfolio that seem to have been forgotten for the past 6 months. since motorola's proprietary OS has no chance in competing with most OS , we'll be seeing more moto's with android, android, and probably symbian foundation.

I guess everyone will reply "calling". Then,Moto provides crystal talk which has awesome call quality. There's no use to have such great video recordings stuff while your grandma even uses the phone for calling.
Innovations in a phone always come from Motorola. Just type Motorola in search bar of Wikipedia and you'll understand what I've said.

My old E2 has a 262k colors screen and it's better than my friend's Nokia 6300 with 16 million colors screen. You know what..Moto screen is made by Sharp with a high contrast screen and it's considered as the best screen in a phone.
