Everyone talk about apple R&D, but it actually doesn't exist - they just making orders to chinese companies which does very small R&D to adapt their "off-the shelf" components to iShitphone. So when iPhone cost $160 to make it is actually $160 (even including taxes) of ready product to be sold + marketing. When Samsung makes phone for maybe 2x as much you need to actually add that amount twice for R&D, so basically 320+320 ~640.. and it still sells for the same price.
You are mad if you think that:
Octa core cpu cost = dual core,
3gb of ram cost = 1gb
16MP camera cost = 8Mp
top quality aluminum = worse quality aluminum
5,1 - 6' QHD AMOLED screen = 4,7 LCD screen
and similar goes for all other parts: battery, sensors etc.

What's your point was exactly? No-one else cant sell highend phones like Apple so they arent making much money selling lowend phones.
Compared to last q samsung maybe sold 10 million highend devices, so of course their profits are lot smaller. Samsung profit went 70% last year because their highend phone sales was lot slower than before.

and what about your 12 month warrenty lol every other mobile provider offers 24 months as standard that just proves that even apple know there products are useless lol forcing people to buy new phone after 12 months when it breaks down or lagggggs as it does as much as you like to lie about it your bendy banna phone is a joke the whole world you know like 83 of the market using android is lololololol

how many times has an ifan said we dont neeed this we dont need that ios is so optimised we dont need big screens as thier the perfect size for a human hand anything bigger is usless and what happens they bring out the 6 and 6 plus with larger screens lol we dont need more than 1gb of ram its pointless our phones run fine on 1gb now when they get 2gb ram it will be the same again wow pure inovation lol add a gb here extra row of icons there and there happy bit of a sad state of affairs really

i think your a bit slow on it duel there was a story just the other day highlighting the costs and profits made by each company with apple topping the list at over 80% profit margin on there overpriced junk if that makes you happy seek help from an ishrink mate most normal people dont like the idea of being masivley overcharged as you are every year but as usual ifans are blind to the mountains of evidence and independant reviews sad really but they say thers one born every min lol a fool is easy parted with there money hahaha

But strangely those galaxies staying in stores doesnt make profits for Samsung... :D those devices actually need to SELL just like how it is with Apple. If Samsung could sell lets see 50 million galaxy S5 in one q they would made huge profits, problem is they cant, neither anyone else.

Apple was top manufacturer in Q4 of 2014 alone. In a year as a whole Samsung is still the main vendor.
Other thing - Samsung is not loosing money, but their profit margins are pretty thin, while apple does some 500-700% of profit.
This just highlight my point. You pay $700 for Samsung which costs $650 to make, the screen alone is like $200, while the iphone cost the same, but it costs only mere $160 to make - as all components are outdated and made by any chinese manufacturer and therefore abundant.
And this is all fine, the companies decide how to run business and how to price their products - same as customers decide what to buy.
What is not fine - is to say that iphone equal or even close in terms of technology and quality. That is not true.
It is just one big overpriced shit with apple logo on it.
