Apple's next generation smartphones will bump up the memory capacity, a new report claims.

Apple CPU has always been tailored made for iOS. At the same time iOS requires less resources and the lower resolution displays also help a lot. I don't mind loosing some milliseconds while doing my tasks but I have always preferred better multitasking (Android), that's what the RAM is for.

    I really feel like apple is slowly milking their fans, anyways after 2gb ram, IPhone 7 will have a higher than 8mp camera that will be called revolutionary again...

                    I predicted this. Not only isit about the time span they would introduce some upgrades. But also the competition is going to force their hands.
                    Plus they dont want to lose all the increased sales from the 6/+.
                    So 2GB ram is happening....finally...which will helpstability a lot. Though if they dont fix the software which they claim will focus on stability.....even supposedly they always have...it wont matter as much.
                    Plus it will be the downfall of older devices.

                    There will be a bigger update in SoC this year.

                    They will probably opt for Samsung UFS II storage.

                    There will most likely finally be a camera update. I hope foe the users its still if 1.4Um pixels. Just increased sensor size with few more pixels. And there is a strong chance of 4k. They might even finally be give stereo recording at 128k.

                    And possibly updates speaker..Among more notable things.


                    The sad part is most of it will be outdated incremental. But in apples game it works and you users will deny ans come up with excuses. Oh but good gpu on lower res display....first hd and large display. Next a few long awaited hardware is updates. Next year probably wont be much.

It could be better if they were not penny pinching for clock rate and battery capacity though...and the rest of the device basically.
                              And obviously the 1GB ram is way more limiting than any fan will admit. The endless crashes and more limited multi tasking prove this. This however is obviously less optimized software too. Not hardware alone.
                              And the past few years teach us their hardware is more limited and software not as advanced as they or fans claim.

                              5S came out and even the 4s couldnt get the full update. And they discontinued the 5 lol.
                              And ios 5, 7, and 8 give a whole new idea on how many bugs an update could have or how many crashes there could be.
                              And show users through lots of 4 and 4s lag, some 5 lag, and occassional 5s lag how limiting and unoptimized things can be.

                              And as the articles here show. They have 11% global sales, but 80% profit. But only 1/8 the sales. Proof of largely over priced scram.

                                Iphone doesnt need more than 1 GB RAM, ifans said.
                                Apple dont be stupid, IOS already lag free, dont ever add more RAM or your profit will be decreased

IPhone always have had better performance.

                                      With that performance you would think iPhone 6 compared to lg g3 is atleast two year newer device

Please a... moreSo isnt that great that iOS devices have so "bad" hardware, how it would look like if Apple devices would be 5 times faster than android devices :D because if what you said is true, with those android hardware Apple devices woul be as powerful as laptops. But its not true and Apple hardware isnt powerless, its very powerful and Apple single core speed is actually faster than android devices. Thats why Apple works faster in many cases.
