i have downloaded 341mb for lollipop 5.1.1 update.. but it could not be installed.. its showing " COULD NOT INSTALL ".. Any solution?

Post upgrading to lollipop my sony xperia ZL doesn't switch on at all. It's complete dead. Is there any update patch or how do I resolve this issue. I am not at all able to use my mobile. How can I go back to kitkat ? Please guide...

Lollipop 5.1 is better than previous version and the over heating problem was solved

Any advice??

Reason I'm looking at this site is that my Nexus 7 was screwed by the lollipop upgrade and wanted to prevent the same thing happening to my Z1 which is a great phone. No lollipop upgrade for my Z1!

all OK after install on last april.
just an advice for others. go to install sony pc companion on your laptop/comp n done through this. more trust.. 🐤

My phone battery suddenly drops from like 50% and shuts down. I thought my phone battery life must be dead. but after seeing these posts...Yes it happened after one month of upgrading to lollipop. I didnt have any problems earlier. It was my favourite phone. any solutions?

What helped for me, is to use the Google startscreen (Google Now Launcher) in stead of Xperia Home. You can change this in the settings > startpage .
I've got the feeling that it is running less background jobs than the standard start screen.

Anyone with an Xperia Z1 eager for the new Lollipop update and are currently on Kitkat 4.4.4, DONT UPDATE
Destroys the phone and makes it impossible to use (Destroys battery time/overheats/slow as f to use any app)
Not worth doing for incremental updates
You can downgrade without any bootloader unlocking or rooting easy-ish
You need to download flashtool for Xperia and the original Kitkat 4.4.4 os for Xperia Z1 then flash it back onto your device, all using your computer.
There are guides and videos online and it's straight forward enough but be warned you wipe your phone memory once you flash your os. (not SD card however)

Z1 phone all stock no problems before update.
After update overheating/battery issue and the whole system is more laggy with everything. Also the stock photo app with the camera stopped working with the update...
I thought I had a virus for a while not a bad update
