Lollipop now out for Xperia Z1, Z1 Compact, Z3 Dual, Z Ultra

i have updated my xperia Z1 to lollipop and after the update i am facing lot of problems like over heating and the major problem for my device is the screen is completely blinking specially on the 4 corners....is there any upcoming update for that...if so how long it takes...???

The new update for my xperia z1 compact has been causing me problems ever since it was first released. I always used to have my stamina mode activated as i was away from home for most of the day. This caused my battery to drain faster than normal and my phone would shut down as the battery would drop rapidly. Since then I have not been activating the stamina mode incase it does the same thing. The problem was fixed by turning this off for about a week or so. Now my battery drains rapidly and I have to charge 3 or 4 times a day (I carry a phone charger with me wherever I go now) What makes it worse is when my phone shuts down because of battery it will drop from 80% down to 0% but when I put it on charge it is charging from that 80% so my phone never really charges above 20-40% although saying it is at 100%. The update is causing a lot of problems for me and I really hope Sony fixes this problem as it seems that loads of users are experiencing similar problems.

upgraded my Z1 to Android 5.0.2,
all apps seem to start up slower
icons were bigger on the screen, so some were on different places or too big
can't even save camera pictures to SD card, only to internal memory
and worst of all: after the upgrade: ALL pictures and music was removed from my SD card, nothing to see anymore trough file manager
I want to go back to previous version, where all worked just fine !!!
anyone knows how to go back !!!???
my phone is only 3months, but if this doesn't change, considering to go to Iphone,
getting frustrated about Android updates and faulty apps !!!

My z ultra when upgraded to lolipop ot was50-50 good and bad, the good is no lag and improve camera the bad is just turn off several times and superb lag at several moments btw thanks sony keep improving the updates thanks :)

Following update to Lollipop, my Z1 is no longer capable of loading new apps or updating existing ones. An Android phone that you cant add anything to is just A phone.Constant searching for wifi, even when wifi is not on, has to be turned off to save battery. Camera is slow.If Sony don't release fix soon, I'm off to Iphone land!

After upgrade to lollipop the calls sound are hacking, and WiFi constant disconnects and is very slow. Did Sony do this to make us buy new phones? Disappointed

it's very bad phone when using with lollipop previously i used with kitkat its really super..after upgraded to lollipop its worst. like automaticaly its restarting while using and some times headset port is not working properly and after restart it will work So dont upgrade to lollipop. Finally iam going to change it kitkat.

I have my Z3 compact, and got updated. after the update my phone went dead.it automatically shutdown.and now the sony technician advised to sent to seny service center. why there's update if the system isn't stable yet for the device?

My Z1 has virtually packed in altogether after the latest software update. I've also lost access to my Clash of Clans, so I'm not a happy customer and I will not buy a sony product again, Apple for me next time.

A review reminds not to use on-air updates. Use PC updates. Dunno if that will work.

I have recently updated my sony Z1 to lollipop. The following issues were noticed 1. Touch screen not responding (ie while continuously typing character are not displayed after some time all of us sudden all the character will display. 2. Display unit is heating like anything. 3 . Normally it took 3 hrs for battery charging with 3G & wifi on off mode now it took 5 hrs for full charging . 4. Wifi if i turn to off mode , while i turn on the display it is triggered to auto on. 5. Mic is dead , some it will on otherwise feeble sound. finally i decided to give it to sony authorsied service center. i have given it on july 2'nd 2015 . only they keep the devise for observation , second day i went to collect the mobile .The service center executive advised me to make calls to test the mic it working . But service center executive advised me to send the mobile to factory repair because my warranty is expiring on 07 06 2015 , but for factory repairing they are telling it may take more than 3 weeks . i have give it for factory repair and waiting

I updated my Sony Xperia z C6603 to andriod lollipop 5.0.2 last week and it had made my phone almost unusable. The battery is sh*t! I left it on stand-by for 7hrs while sleeping (like I do every time) and the battery drained from 100%-65%! Wtf?! I used to get 2-3 days of battery life but now I only get 18hours! Sony, please release a new update that fixes this horrible battery drain. Think about us poor souls who still uses the older devices such as the z, z1 , or z ultra!!!

Kudos to Sony team having release Lollipop. When my Z1 was on kitkat 4.4.4, I cannot move apps to Sd, My phone camera at night is very poor, the phone is very easy to access becos of low UI, the noise cancellation does not work @ all, but since i upgraded my Z1 to lollipop, i can move apps to Sd card, the camera when snap @ night becomes more sharper than what i could not imagine, the UI now made the phone difficult to operate by friends, the call quality fully enhanced with superior noise cancellation i.e if you make calls at noisy background areas, the recorder on the phone will make you to understand that it was only the voice call was recorded then suppressed the back ground noise, the battery life remain the same as in kitkat, on standby the battery is wonderful, if its 79% at night, the next morning it will still be that 79%, I wonder why all these complains, i downloaded my update from Sony official site, that was why i am not complaining rather enjoying the phone.. i am thinking of how to root this phone on 5.0.2 lollipop, bravo sony team
