Probably the design was inpired by PSTN-era terms, on-hook and off-hook.

i don't think its a good idea. this hook would ruin the concept of user friendly handset.

Ridiculous. Pressing two keys is hardly hard work and is less apt to break. Phones can be plenty small and still pick up your voice w/o apparatus that might break. If this were April 1st, I'd think it was April Fools.

yes, doesn't make senses and quite agree with the hook become the bluetooth device.

The hook should also be detachable wear it becomes an earpiece, considering driving laws are getting strict. In walking mode, the hook can work as shown, based on phone designers styles.
Once in the car, it can detach so to fit in your ear or possibly wrap around all the while still using the mouthpiece to pick up voice/cheek vibrations.
I disagree with the design as shown as you are left with a groove that picks up dirt and debris. It should be a built-in thingy within the phone. It should work on bluethooth as well, why not?
This is not really innovative actually. I use to use (and still have it but not in use) the sony CMZ-100....remember? oh yeah baby, I was a star with that piece of hardware back in the day!

the regular flip phone which has been around for so long actually is a lot better than this as it can give you bigger screen space while maintaining the small size.

if it could be used as a stand????? Better

hm.. pressing two buttons would be much faster (imo) compared to sliding or flipping the HOOK thingy..

this is a design failure. pressing 2 buttons is way much easier than flipping a "hook".

this is a new concept, but it must be improve:
                                        1,flip isn't convenient than slide
2,no direction key,how to choose the charter
                                        3,how to control the cost

if you have some new idea, you can connect with me.
