    What are samsung thinking?
They're crazy!! It is a hilarios name of OS.
I'm sure 1000% that the OS will die like UIQ!

I didn't know that 80% of Samsung mobiles runs on Windows mobile OS right now (2009). I still find it hard to believe this.

I guess they will "reinvent the wheel"-when something works and a lot of resources have been invested, e.g S60, you just don't throw it away

why should software developers or customers believe in this new Samsung OS when Samsung themselves don't have any long term track record of good/decent software support-they need to show some sort of commitment to an OS instead of spreading themselves all over and so not developing decent software nor software support

Good phone design are useless if the OS functionality sucks. We need sumthin new,and Samsung always delivers.

              In arabic BADA means START...interesting!!!

But to be honest i think it ends Samsung. Why developers will jump to Samsung only platform when there will be 3 open source OS (Android,Symbian & Maemo)? And the best sellers for Samsung were the Omnia (Windows) and Omnia HD (Symbian).

Bad move and will miss Samsung in the Symbian family.

Its strange that sony didnt step in to the game long time ago and helped SE to develop serious mobile os with playstation genes.

unless this "bada" os is ultra amazing, flawless, has a ui that stuns you to the core, a plethora of reasons to switch to it that includes gaming better or equal to the PSP and a breath taking overall feel...

                  its a bad idea samsung.

throwing away WinMO and Android just when they started to get better.. getting rid of symbian is fine, i've had nokia forever and i hate symbian now but WinMo and Android are shaping up to a good future.

look what happened to Nokia, sticking to their own OS destroyed them, they could't progress cause of symbian.

Thank God HTC exists, if it wosn't for the Touch HD2 and Hero, the mobile market would be going backwards.

could this be the fall of Samsung, we've seen Nokia's fall and it could happen to Samsung

Instead of making lots of OS's they should rather concentrate on improving the existing OS's, which would even be cheap and would be appreciated cuz many people like to stick to a particular OS like these leading ones Symbian and WinMo

i think that Sony Ericsson could invent thier own OS long time ago especially near their collapse year 2002-2003 and not using crapy UIQ based on symbian. thats why many company have big problems using other company products. but its a money issue always. for the symbian i think its to little to late even if they release symbian 4 it will take 3 years to do that. on other hand wmo and iphone os are very stable and only os to survive almost everything because thay are just to large. its like motorola. motorola will never kill their mobile division, they are just to large. same thing for philips. cut the middleman.

Good luck Samsung with this name. It is already a bad start and who the hell needs another OS?

as long as samsung would replace omnia II's WinMo and upgrade it to its bada OS., i'm good to go,. and as long as bada would make the 800MHz of the omnia II work faster and better,. and its apps are mostly like iphone apps! it's really fine!

All I can say is... it's about time. I'm sure Samsung has had it with Winmo and Symbian's outdated OS. I'm very excited to see what a big company like Samsung will be able to come out with. I just hope that their platform model is similar to Android. i.e. open source

its a bad idea, dumping symbian is fine, i've been with nokia and hate symbian now but dumping WINMO! just when its starting to get good..

and reducing Android is't good either.

Samsung don't get too cocky, look at nokia sticking to their one Symbian was a useless idea
