Well, this is great news! I just hope they won't fall for Android only. People want quality phones with quality software. Android can't deliver quality, stability, productivity, security. So they should make some phones for the masses (Android) and also some high-end phones for users who seek quality (Windows)

Anything like the Nokia N1 tablet, and Nokia will be back in business but only if there are no distribution / production delays.

This terms of the deal with Microsoft was deadly conditions. Nobody who have brain didnt sign deal to use new OS without any technical resources, worst shop at that time and probably even now, many restrictions, limitations. How Elop/Nokia can do this ? WP can be 2nd or 3rd OS not first, certainly not the only one which they use. What about really goog MeeGo ?
And now is not the true Nokia, not their product, they lose too much time, it can be too late

When all the staff with some experiance passed to Microsoft, Nokia will only lease their neme to an OEM, that will also to the development. As it was with N1. Another indifferent Android will hit the market, just to be left without support and updates in few months. Yuck.

Still using my Nokia Lumia 820, patiently waiting for this news... I will use this until there is this new android Nokia available on the UK market. I will have avoided all other manufacturers during Nokia's brief absence.

I don't mind an improved version of Symbian though ...

                                        2016 Nokia Nexus anybody?

I would love to see Google give Nokia a chance next year or year after to build a Nexus phone & basically stick two fingers up at Microsoft.
