Apple's been in the OS business before Motorola. But really, who cares? Apple hit the jackpot by creating a phone with a UI that works smoothly. Something that the others have not done after all these years. Who laughed at the iphone? Maybe you, but not the rest of the world. The iphone will not sell millions if it's a laughable device. And speak for yourself, not for every American. A lot of users prefer the iphone for its friendly and silky smooth touch interface, it does not necessarily mean mediocre, but rather practical. And really, what challenges on a phone are you looking for? Lol. If you want challenge, go study quantum physics and master algebra and get a job at the CIA or NASA. What makes the iphone the best is its execution of features and rendering of its apps. It just works, it doesn't try to be more than it can be like most smart phones out there are doing. It's realistic and practical. Unlike some other phones that only looks impressive on paper, but do not deliver its features satisfactorily, and always fall short on performance and stability which makes those devices very frustrating to use.

Apple took from Motorola Ming Linux O.S.Series and HTC just enhanced the Linux O.S. that Motorola started their ming touch series on. When we shipped the iphone overseas...they laughed at it, because that type of technology has already been done. Us Americans are happy with easy easy easy and that is what the iphone is easy technology and that does not do it for me. I want something that challenge me... Nokia and Motorola I love them because they take their time and put out good product. Nokia, Motorola, and RIM are like Jordan, Magic, and Bird while Apple, HTC, and Samsung are like Kobe, Labron, and Wade. If you think the iphone is the best phone ever than that is your opinion and who am I to knock it, but stop trying to force other people to like it...I have travel around the world and notice that the people who talk about apple and htc like they are the best companies ever...seem to know very little about cell phone UI or cell phones period...Until the new cellphones manufactures can find a way to enhance battery life on their phones so I can actually use it, instead of charging it every two hours...I will be happy to try other cellphone users...Nice job Nokia continue to put out quality instead of junk...and I will be right there every step of the way.
